350

Experience the future of home cleaning with the Dreame L10s Ultra Robotic Vacuum & Mop. Effortlessly keep your floors clean and spotless with its innovative features and advanced technology. Discover the convenience of an auto mop cleaner and dryer, as well as auto refilling and emptying base for uninterrupted cleaning sessions.

This was recently was selling for as much as $2599 and marked down to $1799 with the release of the updated L20 Ultra model.

For price and features, I think this is easily the best robot vac+mop+base going in Australian at this time. I've researched these extensively and picked mine up today. Happy to answer any questions about it, or why I went with this model over others…

In short:

  • rotating mops
  • auto-dosing cleaning solution
  • fast lidar mapping
  • camera for good object avoidance (missing on Q Revo)
  • software seems to be good (unlike the Ecovac's)
  • the web camera feed is a nice bonus

Other models I was considering:

  • Roborock Q Revo (less features and currently more expensive)
  • Roborock P10 Pro (upgraded Q Revo - not available in Australia yet)
  • Dreame L20 Ultra (more power and extendable mop - but too expensive)

  • There is no extended warranty in Harvey Norman but definitely a good deal.

You are protected under the Australia consumer laws for a products "expected lifetime", whether you have an "extended warranty", paid or otherwise. The extended warranty almost always falls short of that expected lifetime, by a couple of years at least. In this case if it breaks within a year I would expect the store to cover and up to 5 years the manufacturer to cover. (repair or replace)

Anyway it's worked for me in the past with a LG fridge and Panasonic microwave. Panasonic wasn't very pleasant to deal with though.

      • My roborock s5 max died within 3 years. Roborock won't fix it for free. They want me to pay for it to fix it

        • I would argue that they don't say in their marketing material anything like "good for 3 years only". So if a reasonable person would expect it to last longer, that is what/how you have to argue.

Of course it depends on what's wrong with it. The battery is probably expected to fail (and you can buy a replacement and fit if yourself if you are handy) but if the issue is something like a PCB, motor or even servers shut down.. then I'd be arguing for it to be repaired/replaced under consumer protections.

Do you have a link to the relevant ACCC/FT/legislation that uses those words? Would love to be able to cite it to resistant vendors and manufacturers.

      • And if you can't get remedy from the manufacturer, be sure to shame them with your honest review about your experience on product review sites, so others in the know will avoid them if possible.

What's a good budget vac and mop? I'm hoping to get a sale price of say 200-400$, preferably at jb if possible. Would like low maintenance costs, all hard floor.

    • +1

In that price range you will probably only get a static pad mop and the feedback from my friend is their's is pretty much useless - you want at least a vibrating pad.

There were 2 interesting "mop only" models I considered at one point:
      ILIFE SHINEBOT W450 - saw for $595
      360 M20 Mopping Cleaner - saw for $417

Could find very little info on the M20, most concerning is consumables hard to get. And the W450's navigation let's it down.

IMO for your budget you should probably just aim for the best vac only model, I don't think you'll get worthwhile mopping performance out of a combo unit at that price.

      • Thanks for the detailed reply. Any thoughts on - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/809230? It seems to be good value for money. Will these lidar navigation system pose threat to cat's eyes?

        • I don't think lidar will hurt pets. And there are no laser warnings, at least that that stood out to me, like any DVD player is plastered with.

I don't know anything about the Lubluelu, but all I can say after my initial cleans and inspecting the trash bin each time - I would never buy/recommend a unit without an auto-emptying base. The little hopper fills up quick, which further reduces the available suction power if you're not constantly on to it.

for hard floors this is apparently a decent low cost option https://www.amazon.com.au/Tangle-Free-Suction-Self-Charging-…

    • +1

Another option if you are okay with a bum dragger.

This was our 1st robo vac bought from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/778698

So far it has been excellent. Mopping is okay for general day to day use i.e great in kitchen, bathroom, entrance and balcony (where we use it).

Having the base station for the vac auto-empty is a game changer & no way would I consider not having it for vacuuming.
Means I can just do set & forget (every 2nd day). To extend the life of the bag (reduce operating costs), we stick the main Hoover we use (human fortnightly go over of the place) into the bag and suck out 95%. Stick bag back into base and away we go again. The bag is apparently good for approx 45 before it starts to fill up.

The app works well. The robot hasn't skipped a beat. It always find the base station. I see all these other quirks people have an bless my cotton socks this one just seems to work.

We didn't want to spend a few k on a high end robo vac as the technology is still developing. As an interim solution between human cleans it has exceeded our expectations. YMMV.

been using this for about 5 months now. Bought it at full MSRP on dreame's offical website for $1999, ended up being $1950 after cashback. So not sure where the "recent $2599" came from. As it being my first robot vaccum, there were some quirks. Quite a handful of times, it's failed to navigate itself backup the base-station ramp to dock and charge. The wheels kept slipping on the grooves. I came home to see it with dead batteries just infront of the base station. I remember there were also issues with it connecting to my home 2.4ghz wifi network. I dont remember what i did to make it connect though. The phone app is okay at best, you can tell they just used Google translate for alot of the portions, you have to kinda guess what some phrases or sentences mean. Recently the robot decided to just straight up skip 3 of the rooms ive scheduled for weekly mop and vaccum, i have no idea why.

      Thanks for your review

      also to include:
the side rotating brush falls off pretty easily (theyre held in magnetically). The main brush and mops give off warnings if they become taggled or detached, the side brush doesnt. So a few times, ive gone around the house trying to hunt down where the side brush fell off

    • "$2599 less $800" is the current "offer" displayed on Dreame's website - man I hate these games manufacturers play! Anyway the last 2 weeks that I've been looking I would say $1799 is the true rrp since the L20 Ultra entered the market. Of course less $50 for the newsletter signup or CBA staff offer.

Anyone knows how does this compare to roborock s7 max v ultra? That one was available yesterday at 1599. I am assuming it will go cheaper in black friday sales

    • +1

The L10s is more comparable to the S8 Ultra or Q Revo. S7 while good, doesn't have a mop drying module. You'll end up with a mouldy mop in the dock!

    • +1

S7 max ultra has mop drying module. S7 maxv doesn't have it but S7 maxv is discontinued.

      • +2

Oh, you're correct! - I retract my comment.

Roborock need a better naming convention. I just realised S7 Max Ultra and S7 MaxV Ultra are two different models lol!

  • +1

    Thanks OP!
Have been tracking the price over the last year or so. It was $1,499 during the 10 Oct Prime Day Sales, holding off though until black friday to see if it drops further.

    • +2

I think I'll do the same! Still half debating between this and the Q Revo

    • You're welcome, I held out for this price after seeing that deal too. This one is good till the end of November, so if you can wait (I couldn't, haha) you might get a better deal on black Friday. Though going by the announced US black Friday price, I think $1300 AUD would be the absolute lowest you could hope for this year..

FWIW (this might just be a dirty psychological marketing tactic) but Dreame (direct) are saying orders placed today won't ship until the 6th of December. So stock might be limited, if you can't physically get your hands on one… imo it's probably just been negotiated as such, because of this Harvey Norman channel promotion.

  • Which one is better this or roborock s7 max ultra?

    • This Dreame, because that Roborock model has a vibrating pad style mop. I do like the shorter dimensions of the base though. And the Roborock software is said to be the best of all brands. (Dreame close second)

When I was considering that style of mop, I was leaning towards the Hobot Legee D8 and LuLu Tower, which is currently on sale for $1250. Though this model doesn't automatically empty it's trash into the base.
      https://robotmylife.com.au/product/hobot-legee-d8-and-lulu-t…

I don't like the pad style because I can't believe they would scrub as hard as a spinning mop. But also because if it's a self-cleaning system, then you have additional moving parts on the base side, that could potentially break - and imo the side to side mechanism looks more complicated & fragile too.

  • +1

Bought for $1150 from the previous CBA code.
    Well worth it.
    Would pay $1500.

No real issues from my end and pretty happy with it.

    • Oof! Nice! I thought they were only getting the same $50 off as the newsletter. Maybe it's possible again on black Friday?! I didn't think it would go much below $1500 so pulled the trigger - so I can stop researching now, haha.

Here's the CBA link I found:

I believe it was a pricing error. But it seems they honoured it and still delivered the units bought at that price.

  • After reading some of the above reviews - I’m not sure I’m ready to pull the trigger on the price tag for the mopping function. Think I would rather get a really good vaccum one and then do steam mopping occasionally. Can anyone recommend which are the better value for money VAC only robot vacuums? Thank you!

  • @frontier Thanks for sharing this.

Have you considered the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S10+ in your analysis. I’m looking for a more budget friendly option and also this is going to be my first buy. Do you have any recommendations?

The price is almost half of the Dreame L10s.

    • I considered the Xiaomi X10+ but it's not enough of a discount to the Dreame L10s Ultra and it was under my (kind of arbitrary) minimum strength of 5000 Pa. The S10+ looks like it's the same specs as the X10+ without a base.

My advice would be, you really don't want to be without an auto-emptying base. It's so nice to just open your phone, select the program and not have to worry about anything else. You can even set these tasks to run automatically on s schedule for weeks without having to touch it.

  • Little late to save anyone…

I can't believe this wasnt pasted all over ozbargin when it comes to the dreme vacuum

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/749430

If its a version not made for the Australian market you're screwed on the app, as its region lock. I bought mine from Amazon

    • Yeah there are some really good looking models only available in China. Sucks that the manufacturers are being so aggressive with region blocking for $ome $trange rea$on…

    Back in stock

  • Out of stock again.

    • +1

tbh I am shocked to see that! I would have expected them to take orders and fulfill when stock arrives. Pretty poor form by HN, I don't recall anything saying "while stocks last", only the sale end date, which would still have a week or so left to run

  • Seems to be back in stock.

    • Out of stock again now it seems. I wonder why it seems to be in and out of stock every day?

      • +1

Yeah I didn't know HN did that. Glad I left work early at 4:30 to rush down and snag mine before closing. It was the only store that had stock and was out the next day too.

  • +2

Tried to post a deal, but says it's banned from posting Dreame stuff from Amazon. First time trying to post, can't really work out why, even after reading the hyperlink. Says they need 90%, which i'm guessing means 4.5 star, as that's 90% of 5 star? Which is what they have…

Anyway, its currently $1499 delivered through Amazon AU

    • +1

I ordered there too, wondering if I went too early and it might come down further on Fri and Monday… Considering cancelling and waiting.

      • +1

Amazon have good return policies, either that or if they drop the price drops on Amazon ask for a price difference refund. That has worked for me in the past.

        • +1

Great idea.. Thanks! Might leave packaged for a few days..
