          • @hamza23: Cool. Thought I was blind for a second.

          • @hamza23: How did you get the 4pc mop ?

            • @m0tyrider: It was under 'Promotion Message'

But looks like it is gone now.

              • @hamza23: i clicked that add cart for free 4pcs mop and placed the order, but seems it didnt get thru. i asked amazon support about and said nothing they could do now

        • Oop, yeah, my calc for 50% off was off.

    • Got it, thanks. Let´s see how it goes. My first robot vacuum :D

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago on sale on Amazon with low expectations. I have to say, it's actually much better than I expected for the price. I think its worth it if you are on the fence about these robot vacs or looking to try one out without breaking the bank

  • Has anyone upgraded to this from a V1 Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum?

Trying to figure out if it will be much better as mine is getting very old and this looks a lot better.

  • +2

I also picked up one of these from Amazon in September and it's been great. A friend has one from another brand that cost about $1k and this is easily as good. You can also pick up the dust collector thing for about $190 which I may do in the future.
It seems spares are available from AliExpress too.

  • Has anyone bought two of these and know whether they work well as a pair?

    • +1

Or like an episode of Battle Bots?

      • Hahah that would be entertaining indeed

  • Anyone know if this would work connected to a phone hotspot only as opposed to wifi on the modem?

    • Technically possible but it'll probably be more hassle than it's worth. Do yourself a favour and at least have a bridged wifi router or something

  • +4

Bought one a month ago and it's been better than expected.
Picked up the Auto-Empty Dock Station today for $108.42 ($30 eBay seller coupon + ebay plus code) today will see how it goes!

    • Could you share the link, i used the code TOPH22, the price comes down to AU $131.82

      • +1

Looks like the seller has removed the additional $30 voucher, it was $139 at checkout plus TOPH22 earlier which brought it down to $108.42

  • In true anti ozbargain fashion - I bought it off Amazon, it was $19 more than the eBay plus deal but i get it tomorrow and amazon's returns are so good.

    $19 well spent or wasted.

  • Do these allow you to add another room after initial mapping?

I have an Ecovacs Deebot Neo (Aldi special) and some of my rooms were closed while mapping but now you can't add those rooms without re-mapping the whole house

Same thing happens if you have a large piece of furniture in a room and decide to move it, it won't update the room shape where the item was removed

    • Yes, I think you can. It will add any new areas it finds (while cleaning) to the map on the screen. It will then use this updated map going forward unless you manually revert to the map created during initial mapping

      • Does it allow you to select that new area to clean?

Ecovacs will update the walls but it remains grey so you can't actually tell it to clean in there for scheduled cleanings

        • I can't say 100% as I haven't needed to do that but I think so.

One of the options is 'selection cleaning' where you pretty much just draw a rectangle on the map where want it to clean. This 'selection' can span multiple different 'rooms' that it initially mapped.

I'll try to remember to check if it actually adds the new areas as 'rooms' and post back

          • @Richocho: Ecovacs can do a selection too but you can't schedule cleans with a selection. Also being able to pick a list of rooms means you can send it to multiple rooms in different parts of the house in 1 job instead of having to do it every time if the rooms you want cleaned aren't next to each other.

@fullspend: Just had a play around in the app and confirmed the following:

              • It adds newly discovered areas as normal rooms
              • These new rooms can be merged with existing rooms if needed
              • The new rooms can be included in scheduled cleaing routines just like the original rooms

              I hope that helps

              • @Richocho: Thanks! The ability to merge newly discovered areas into an existing room is what Ecovacs is lacking.

  • Bought 1 thanks. Upgrading from my Deebot Ozmo 920 which was a gift awhile back. Hopefully a decent upgrade.

  • Also available in black on Amazon. Unfortunately only checked after impulse ordering and now it's too late.

    • +1

They have black on eBay too. It was a bit more expensive than this though.

      • +1

Its the same price after adding the below coupon

        Voucher/coupon TOPH22
        Applied: AU $61.38

        Discount LU60DSL80
        Applied: AU $80.00

    • thanks for the comment. i cancelled my white on amazon and ordered the black instead.

  • Thanks OP, ordered one!

  • Fanx OP got one finally and the dock.

  • Ta OP. Grabbed one on amazon with auto empty and free mop pads!

  • Only the black one has the free mops on amazon - white one doesn't.

Didn't notice this till after the fact my white one has been delivered.

    • What exactly are the free mops? I got the white off Amazon and got a couple of blue microfibers and the bit they attach to, which I figure is the mop? (yet to have a look at the manual)

      • I got 2 mops too included in the box. I assume thats not the "promotion" which is 4 free mops

Hi there, I just recently bought this vacuum and needed some help from anyone who also owns it or may know an answer to a question I have. I wish to setup an automation where every weekend it mops the floors to the bedrooms. Is this possible? The next question I had was regarding the batteries to the vacuum, I know that it would probably degrade in the next 2-3 years, are there replacement batteries available for this? Thanks :)

Never owned a robot vac before, so far been happy with purchasing this!

Does anyone know what wavelength and class the lidar laser is? I'm concerned if it may harm my pet's eyes
