Not a deal even with discount and MSI is out of their mind putting a 13700HX/4070 machine for a 5k rrp to began with.

Legion 5i Pro 13900HX/4070/32GB RAM on JB of all places is only $3499 and thats without a sale. 13700HX/7745HX+4070 sku can be had regularly on lenovo portal for like what? 2.6k in a sale and thats excluding cashback.

    • 16GB RAM at 5k rrp lol. Worse than Apple.

    • as a build quality this is top of the range one on msi , thats why more expensive then others i think.

MSI Pulse 17 B13VGK is very similar specs for 2.5k$
      https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/laptops-&-notebooks/gami…

      • Except low end MSI are bottom of the barrel and that 2.5k is not worth it. That pulse you are looking at is packing a H45 13700H, which is a far outcry from a 13700HX, despite the similairty in naming.

This cooling solution is just sad.

GE68 is no pulse level crappiness, but apart from rgb, it also isnt any more solidly built ever Legion Pro 5 to justify that much extra.

You are also missing other features - there is no advanced optimus - which practically every higher end machines got this year, and as per jarrod whp also mentioned this - the MSI machines are just not priced competitively - not in the States, and certainly not here.

      • Still loses out in build quality to a legion 7i, which i’ve seen go for cheaper on an actual deal.

  • The MSI looks a bit nicer with a slightly better cpu, but I don't think it's worth spending close to 40% more for it over this gigabyte

    $3k+ and i7+4070 lolwut

just google 4070 and you can find 5 better deals without much searching…. e.g. first thing I clicked from dell: G16 Gaming Laptop i9-13900HX, 4070, 32GB DDR5 sure build quality etc are notable factors but this price for hardware is tooo far.

I'm gonna have to neg this one.

    • im aware there much better rtx 4070 laptop deals. its prob build quality

you can see all on Msi website black friday deals.

      • The build quality isn't outstanding. No reason to be this expensive.
