Only goes down to 32hz and is still ported at that. Decent price for new but I would suggest going used for an older SVS, M&K, REL, or similar. I personally have experience with an M&K V-75 MKII that would -3dB at about 30hz but was also sealed and so could be EQd to a solid 22hz -3dB by sacrificing some loudness. Also had an REL Q200E that was tiny but with the crossover at the minimum setting could go down to 27hz -3dB. The SVS or bigger M&Ks would be able to go much louder.

I got this last sale at $450 including delivery. Pretty good for the price, I use it along with my bookshelf speakers for the PC in a small study, so I don't have it very loud but it makes a huge difference verse no sub when watching movies and listening to music on Tidal.

I got two of these at the last sale, paired with a set of Klipsch RP 600M ii speakers and a 2ch Denon receiver. Mainly use it for music and the occasional movie. Bass is punchy and loud (sometimes a little too much and it has to re turned down) and really adds a nice dimension to what you're listening to. Being able to feel what you're hearing is pretty nice.

Adding the 2nd subwoofer makes in more immersive and I was surprised to hear how very wrong I was in thinking "bass fills a room so you can place the one subwoofer anywhere"

Only issues I've faced with this setup is the wall behind it all rattles (I've played a tone via a frequency generator and pressed on the wall and it stops) and I've had the rubber seal vibrate out of one of the windows a few times. Though these are more issues with the build quality of the house and not the speakers.

  • Anyone knows how this will pair with a Paradigm Dsp 3200 sub woofer?
