eBay: $10 Cashback on $50 or More Spend @ Commbank Yello (Activation in App Required)

170

Probably targeted. From a quick search it seems hasn't been posted before probably a new reward.

Should be good combined with BF sales or something as it expires on 13 Dec.

    @ Commbank Rewards

This isn't Commbank Rewards, it is CommBank Yello

    • I've just updated the app this morning for the Yello tab to be shown. Kind of confused, it says rewards is now part of Yello. So essentially there's just Yello now?

      • +1

it says rewards is now part of Yello.

        It's not.

I had access to Rewards but cannot use Yello.

        • I had Rewards and currently have access to Yello (due to meeting criteria such as type of Account and Transactions made for the month).

          https://www.commbank.com.au/commbank-yello/faqs.html?ei=anch…

My access may drop if the conditions aren't met each month…

          • @nismo: I have two transaction accounts with CBA but apparently they are not the right ones, even though I have 10x more transactions that are required to qualify.

I'm not going to open yet another account, just to have Yello.

I had all these benefits before they changed the program.

I guess I'll just focus more on my other credit cards now and have the CBA one as a backup… Their loss on transaction fees will be way greater than mine..

            • @jv: Sorry to hear :(

I just checked and one of mine is Smart Access.

              • @nismo:

                Smart Access.

Perhaps, but CBA are not very 'Smart', putting many high spending customers offside…

Accounts without monthly fees do not qualify for Yello….

  • I used to get the Rewards but the Yello tab in my app says it's locked. Can't figure out how to unlock.

    • you need to complete 5+ outbound transactions each month

      • +5

I have a credit card. Hmm, looks like they removed Rewards/Yello for credit cards.

        • +2

Yep, trying to encourage their customers to change banks.

      • you need to complete 5+ outbound transactions each month

I have close to 50 per month, but still locked.

    • Base requirement is to have a transaction account now :/

      • I have one but still not eligible. :(

        • (a) Eligible transaction accounts:
          • Smart Access
          • Everyday Offset
          • Pensioner Security (card access only, not passbook access)
          • Private Banking Account
          • Complete Access (no longer available for sale)

If you have one of these and your min 5 transactions should be unlocked, have to call em if not.

          • +1

            @bamzero:

If you have one of these

No, I have a 2 transaction accounts and 1 credit card with them and none qualify.

No way am I going to open and pay for another account just to get something I already had previously…

It is similar to price jacking…

            • +1

@jv: With you on that one. Not transferring $2000 a month in and out every month to avoid that $4/month to get $10 or $20 of cashback offers I actually use in a year either.

(btw, spoke to them about something else and asked if they can enable Yello for me without the transaction account, no luck unfortunately. Have submitted a complaint, why not. Maybe they'll unlock it for me.)

              • @bamzero: I complained and also threatened AFCA. I suspect its breaking the rules to remove features with no notice or notification.

                • @gadgetguy: Get a response? All I got was a "carefully considered response" of telling me what the eligibility requirements were again. Nice work CBA.

                  • @bamzero: Just BS and excuses.

With them now also significantly worsening the travel insurance with their credit cards, I'll be ditching my card after the two trips I've already got registered with them under the existing T&C.

  • Nothing for me.

  • Nothing for me from CBA and their $10b profit.

  • Anyone tried this while using an Ebay Voucher and successfully got the cashback?

  • +1

can we buy gift cards on ebay?

Note - if you buy items from different sellers and even if it's over $50 - the transaction will be broken up eg. $60 total but one $20 item and another $40 item - it will appear as $20 and $40 therefore not eligible for cashback. I just learnt this.

    • Damn I just noticed that as well when checking the transaction history, it was charged as whole amount then split into 2 transactions in later day.
Any luck to fight with their customer service on this?

  • I don’t know what to buy from ebay these days even though i have the $10 off
