      What would you need insurance for a domestic roadtrip for?

      • maybe care hire excess?

        • Roadtrip implies you're driving your own car somewhere, thus negating the need to hire a car.

          Anyway you can get seperate hire car coverage for a much cheaper amount than domestic travel insurance. Not much point getting domestic travel insurance unless you're flying (and even then it usually doesn't seem worth the cost).

    • Hey @linkindan, how’s it going? Yes, good news: we do offer coverage for interstate travel within Australia with our Domestic Explorer Plan.

      We cover things like cancellation and amendment costs (we can reimburse you for lost expenses because of falling sick or getting COVID-19), resumption of journey (if you have to return home for a covered reason, we’ll help pay for you to get back to your trip), and luggage cover (we can reimburse you for the cost of replacing or repairing your belongings). You can add extra protection for more expensive gear (like cameras or drones) onto your policy too (with our Trip Extras).
