  Spin 5 looks like good alternative to the Lenovo Flex 5 (which is a no go with its dodgy hinges) when it comes to touchscreen laptops, shame it also seemingly only 250 nits

    Had a Spin 5 that lasted me very well, still even works fine today. Probably 5-6 years old now and no external hardware faults in that time, no internal faults either just showing its age a bit.

    Shame I have to use a HP now that had more problems in its first month than the lifetime of the Acer lol.

  @HN did a deal with Acer, it seems. No one else has these at this sort of price point.

  A four years back, I got the last Aspire 5 14-inch i3-10110U/8GB/128GB SSD Laptop in my area, for $488. It's been great. Of course, disabled everything I could using Chris Titus' script, but man, has it been amazing. I left the original 128GB Nvme & added a large SSD, courtesy of the included kit. Brilliant.
