I wonder what TLC thinks about a Scrub Daddy.

    • +23

      They don't want them.

    • How about Leather Daddy?

    • +1

      Don't go chasin' waterfalls…

    • +1

      They dont want no scrubs

  • I have a super dust prone apartment, how much dust does it hold before needing a rinse?

    • +56

It can hold twice as much as half its dust carrying capacity.

      • +4

This comment is three times better the second time you read it! 😂

      • +5

        You could become a politician

      • LMFAO

  • does it stay damp?

    • +11

Can confirm it maintains its moistness. Moist

    • +6

No, it dries out in between uses and goes very hard. When this happens you need to soak it in water for ~5 minutes to revive it. Alternatively you could keep it in a zip-loc bag or container but I think I'd prefer it dry out and not keep anything alive on it.

I personally found the sponge to be overrated. I found the cheapo sponge/ scourer combos work just as well, if not better.

    • +2

I like the sponge. Possibly I just like the smiling face though. I'd still keep cheap sponge/scourers around though, grease seems to wear the sponge out quickly.

    • +2

Each to their own! Personally the scrub daddy has lasted way longer than knockoffs, which seemed to fall apart and leech small chunks into the waterways. Not ideal

    • I can’t stop thinking how much money this little piece of sponge must be making the “clever” person that came up with the idea though…. Jealous!! Waaah!

  • +8

Quick hack for the sponge - cut it horizontally as its too thicc; lasts longer.

  • don't buy these dusters are CRAP!!! it is more like a sponge than a duster. really bad….

    • +1

Damn really? I've heard good things about it so will give it a try. Will report back in a couple days.

      • +2

I like the duster! Clings onto dust really well and cleans off easy.

      • -1

        ok good luck…..

    • It depends on the type of surface, it works very well on relatively matte surfaces, it sucks for glossy type surfaces

  • +9

Not a deal after you know where they source it from.
I bought these Scrub Daddy Cleaning Sponges during a sale like this, then I saw the exact same ones on aliexpress and temu.
Bought one just to compare and found they are exactly the same, down to the size, except the chinese sold ones are $1.50 each (normal price)

    • +3

      Link pls

      • +1

search for 'Damp Duster' on those sites, too many sellers to list.

      • +3

No shortage of them on temu, though this deal still seems reasonable by comparison imo. https://www.temu.com/search_result.html?srch_scene_type=main…

        • +1

How is it reasonable when they are $1.40 on Temu.

          • +3

@Yola: Well, there's value in not gaving to use Temu. The pop up wheel and pestering about their app is so obnoxious I kind of pay money not to shop there.

  • +1

Not sure how camelx3 works, but I checked my previous purchases history and bought the dust sponge, damp duster also for $2.84 S&S, on 10th October

    • Thanks, it must have been from this comment. I saw that comment previously but it did not mention the price. I think during prime only sales, the prices weren't recorded on Camels as it was Prime only price.

  • how does this compare to the smiley face?

  • Grabbed one thanks ☺️

  • finally found what my wife want, she always says SCRUB DADDY SCRUB at night. Now I know what she is asking, can't wait to see her reaction tonight

  • My order was cancelled.

    • That's weird. Order it again?

  • Is the sponge daddy really working better than the cheap woolies sponge?

  • FYI - Scrub Daddy Sponge is back on sale again at $4 ($3.60 S&S)
