Asus Eee Slate EP121 Tablet $679 @ Kogan Free Shipping

60

Just got an email from Kogan about the Asus EEE Slate.

Fairly good price if you are into windows on a tablet.

You could load windows 8 on it, but i would prefer buying a proper windows 8 tablet when they come out.

Nice specs also!

  • It was $849 back on the 27th of September, decent enough drop in price…

    Also the cheapest on staticice.

  • A few of us made the unfortunate mistake of going for the Shopping Square deal @ $799.00 a month ago - none of us have yet to receive the item as of this point of time.

Have placed another order with Kogan, and Shopping Square can go kiss my Paypal Disputes **** for all I care.

So, no spec's given here… Why?

      Fair comment…

Only 1 GB of RAM for a Windows system? Or what?

      Hmmm.

OP, add info (for those who might need to know), to avoid a Neg - for laziness - from me. :-/

      Neg.

  • anyone know if this GST included? or it will be shipped from overseas which include no gst? thanks

  • Its an Arrandale, so its 2 gens behind, and with the pending release of Windows 8, it might be better to wait for a true tablet optimised hardware.

I was going to say… My first i5 (an ASUS notebook, from years ago, w/ long-lasting battery) had a quad-core CPU… this one has only dual-core.

This isn't a notebook though… it is a slate PC.

  • tempting….but it's too big and heavy specially compared to samsung slate for almost the same screen size.
will wait for slate's price slash. windows8 tablets would be too expensive, even the RT ones, so slate would be the best bet i suppose.
btw anyone interested in buying my xmer pad….sorry got excited abt slate ;)
