@ChatCPT: No, $50 off normal price.

            RRP is pointless…

That's generally what happens with technology. No different to how it went for the Sony1000XM3/4/5 or Bose QC35/45. Waiting for these to drop a bit more before I replace my QC35s.

      • I'm in the same boat, still have my original QC35 and looking to get an upgrade in noise cancelling. Was looking at the xm5 but heard they aren't as comfortable as the Bose.
If these get below 450 I'll get them otherwise keep waiting.

        • I want to upgrade from QC45, but some reviewers believe the comfort is not as good as QC35/45 and the sound quality is not as good as Momentum/Airpods max. Maybe I need to try in-store first.

    • they will be $350 and less by next year, same as qc45 and 700's

      • What's your prediction for price drop timeline?
I am keen to buy these, but I feel the value spot is a little bit lower than $549.
I've seen very large discounting by retailers in the run up to Black Friday. Two factors come to mind: 1) discounted prices reflect pre-2020 inflation prices; 2) general public is running out of money and discretionary purchases are shrinking

  • Bose is following apples marketing models innit?
