        OP has a good point, a very detailed example which could have simply said "cheaper overseas". But seriously speaking, it's pointless to neg him (bellpop) cos are you guys happy about buying shoes for TRIPLE the price? There is NO justification for this pricing here.

        We are not talking about general living expenses, so don't be ridiculous.

        The logic centre in my brain (whatever that is) tells me that unless a product is actually obtainable at a price (without travelling overseas) then negging a deal based on that unobtainable price is ridiculous. I'm sure he didn't go to the States just to buy a pair of shoes - but if you or I wanted to get that price - right now - we would have to jump on a plane and pick them up. It's like posting up an Amazon deal that doesn't ship to Australia, or generally not factoring shipping into the equation on any deal.

        haven't looked, but are these shoes available on ebay, other numerous websites which will ship here?

        If so then yes they are obtainable without travelling overseas, and all you need is a pc, internet, and your credit card. simple.

        Of course, if someone wanted the item badly enough they'd do the research themselves so there isn't any point of us arguing over it.
