49% off Thank You Blend Coffee Beans 1kg $22.70 + Delivery ($0 with $69 Order, Delayed Dispatch Available) @ Lime Blue Coffee

3870

Hey Oz Bargain Community,

The thought of this deal has literally kept me up all night thinking "have I gone too hard on this deal? Is the discount too big and margin too small? Oh no, what am I about to do and why am so much more nervous about this deal launch..?" Then I suddenly had a reassuring thought this morning "if I can't sleep for thinking about this deal, questioning if the deal is too enticing, then hopefully that means I'm onto something." Fingers crossed this deal's a real winner for all of you!

I been wanting to launch a new blend I've been working on and also send out a Black Friday Cyber Monday deal that would show how sincerely grateful I am for this wonderful community's support (has truly been life changing, thank you so much). On another note I also really wanted to go all out on this deal to turn a negative feeling I recently had into a positive outcome. Bear with me I'll try to not write a novel… I went to a large store recently and noticed a ~50% price increase on water within about a month. I know first hand costs have gone up a lot in certain industries (not complaining, simply acknowledging it), but I'm not aware of water being one of those industries, especially not within about a month. Then I started looking behind the bright coloured "special" tags on prices throughout that store, lo and behold I kept seeing that the "special" price was the same as the original full price. I left the store thinking "what on earth is going on here?!?!?!" Anyway nothing good comes from walking around ticked off. As such, I've tried to flip that negative feeling into a positive outcome via combining these three goals to offer this $22.70 per kg deal and name this new blend our Thank You Blend, which is aptly named for this time of year as it's a terrific gift to give yourself or someone else :)

We're offering you a 49% discount off our newly launched Thank You Blend,, only $22.70 per 1kg (usually $44.50 per 1kg).

The overall flavour of our Thank You blend is within the same general spectrum of our much loved Moments to Memories blend, however this new blend has distinctly enhanced sweetness, a bit more of an acidity kick and a fantastic symmetry of clarity between the chocolate and fruity notes, it's almost as if the flavours are perfect dancing partners

Deal valid for orders placed until 07/12/2023, unless sold out before. In terms of dispatch, I've been paying close attention to how the delivery companies are going to cope with BFCM this year and their network structures are already showing a few early cracks. I want you to have the best possible delivery experience. As such I've made the tough decision to limit adding further orders to the BFCM delivery company storm and do my utmost to manage the delivery experience for orders already scheduled for delivery in the next week or so. For this deal dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday December 11 (based on recent years that's when delivery companies get back on track) and as far as the second last Tuesday in January (30/01/2024). Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting

  • Complimentary gift notes can be submitted via a reply message to your order confirmation email

Hey @jus0212 WOW thank you so much for placing such a terrific order with us, it's truly appreciate!

Great question. Yes, our Thank You blend should work really well for cold brew as well as hot coffee.

Fingers crossed you and your parents love our Thank You blend :)

Hey OzBargain/Tom, I am quite new to coffee brewing but I saw your comment about freezing them. Was wondering if you were able to step me through the process of freezing and defrosting into grinding? What's the difference compared to the regular process?

    • Separate into say 200g or 250g lots depending on how much coffee you drink. I try to aim to have each lot last 1 week. Put beans into vacuum (or ziplock) bag and put it in the freezer. Bring bag out of freezer and allow to come to room temperature before opening bag to avoid condensation and pt into air tight container eg Mason jar and keep in dark place.

      • Great tips @42 really appreciate the answer assist!

Hey @Pursue4 great to see you're opening to delving into the world of coffee!

Appreciate the questions, always better to ask than wonder. There's a bunch of different methods, essentially it boils down to the more effort you put in the better the results. That said the lowest amount of effort still have fantastic results :)

      1) Easiest = Simply put the sealed bag/s of fresh coffee in your freezer when it arrives. From there when you're ready to enjoy our coffee, just take the bag out and get stuck in. You can let it defrost first before using it if you'd like to fast track dialing in your grinder. If you don't mind a potential slight adjustment between grind the coffee frozen vs. thawed, then I'd recommend enjoying your first cup by grinding the coffee while it's still frozen
      2) Middle effort = Similar to the above, only difference being the prior to freezing the coffee. Before freezing pre-portion coffee into roughly enough to last you a fortnight was 1-2 weeks. Seal into zip lock bags and then freeze 1-2 weeks after the roast date depending on your personal flavour preference (perhaps 1.5 weeks post roast date may be a winner for you)
      3) Most effort = Similar to option 2, only difference being the pre-portioning is single doses and then vacuum seal into bags

  • I've pretty much cut down drinking full caffeine coffee for about 2 months now, so i won't be buying this but will definitely continue to buy your decaf when on sale. Keep up the good stuff

    • Why the change?

      • +2

I found that caffeine worsens my stress. So i only have it sometimes

    • Hey @skidexa shucks it's a shame you need to cut down on caffeine. I'm so wrapped you've found enjoyment in our Decaf, so you can keep enjoying our fresh coffee, woohoo!!!

Very happy to know we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

  • More than happy to order from you, Tom!

    • How wonderful to hear @wearytraveller thank you truly for your continued orders and support, it really does mean the world!!!

  • Are these beans good with cold brew?

    • Hey @Salty Pretzel they sure are…of course an unbiased comment haha

In all seriousness, I do honestly believe if you enjoy cold brew then our Thank You blend should hopefully be a real winner for you :)

  • Ordered 2 lots. Excited to try. Thanks Tom you are legit an amazing service!

    • WOW absolutely love your duel ordering skills @BizzleBargains thank you so much, your orders really do mean so much!!!

Music to my ears to know you're excited to try our special Thank You blend and that you think our service is "amazing," we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books :)

  • do you need a coffee machine to make this or just need hot water?

    • +1

BEANS so they need to be grounded first

      • @pull the lever is spot on (appreciate the answer assist). @engin3chas3r you'll need a grinder and some form of coffee making system. We only sell fresh coffee, as opposed to instant coffee. Fingers crossed you decide to start making fresh coffee at home :)

  • Placing my order, perfect named blend as a gift too. This put my order history at over 10kg in 5 months.
You should run an ozbargain comp to reward your biggest consumers, although I don’t know how you could safely encourage excessive caffeine intake.

    • WOW WOW WOW @Tightmike bravo on those numbers, very impressive. Thank you so much for all of your wonderful orders, I'm so happy to know how much you've been enjoying our fresh coffee!!!

The thought has crossed my mind to do some sort of competition, but I know the general rules are quite strict regarding any sort of competition and haven't had the time to read through all the rules, so it's on the back burner at present. Fantastic to hear you're a fan of the name too, fingers crossed any gift receivers out there are as happy as you are with our fresh coffee :)

  • On website earliest dispatch date is 11 December, I want to get dispatched ASAP, is it possible?

    • +1

Hey @raspudala appreciate the double check!

Normally we're fairly flexible with our dispatch dates. However, as mentioned in the deal description around towards the end of November we noticed that delivery companies were starting to crumble under the pressure of peak delivery season, so we decided it wasn't smart to add more fuel to the fire (AKA adding more dispatch to the dispatch delivery companies were already not coping well with). Hopefully delivery companies, although still busy, are back to being able to manage the current delivery volume levels :)

  • Usually buy elsewhere after much testing if othe brannds flavours eventually finding a favourite but with such good reviews and great deal ordered 4k. Hopefully 🤞 I won’t regret buying it.

    • Fantastic, thank you so much for such a terrific first order with us @Sunshines bright it truly means so much and is an opportunity we won't take for granted!

Fingers crossed you love our fresh coffee :)

  • Won't be jumping on this deal since I loaded up on single origins with the last deal but thought I'd drop a comment to do my usual LB shilling :) Had nothing but good experiences, even when AusPost dropped the ball, it got chased up super quickly. And the beans are consistently good, of course!

    • +1

WOW @Diji what a wonderful comment to leave, thank you so much for your outstandingly positive vote of confidence!!!

We'll keep working hard to stay in your good books, fingers crossed our next deal is timed perfectly for you :)

  • My dispatch date is 01/02/2024, hope that's achievable. There's a green circle on that date…

    • +1

Opps very nice pick up detail indeed @pull the lever it's not then end of the world, but we haven't 100% figured out our Feb dispatch schedule yet, so it's not meant to be available for selection just yet :)

Thank you so much for your order and green circle feedback too, truly appreciated!

p.s. you were able to reserve a dispatch spot on 01/02/2024, so I'm happy to confirm we'll make that happen for you, you shouldn't need to change your plans just because our site settings went a bit awry (all back on track now) :)

  • Ordered 2kg to try - thanks Tom!

    • Amazing, thank you so much @tokyocalling fingers crossed you absolutely love our Thank You blend!!!

  • What coffee do you recommend to me who likes single origin with chocolate, grapefruit and citrus fruit taste?

    • Hey @Colombian great question, appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Although perhaps not exactly identical you the 3 notes you've listed, we do have two options that I believe may be winners for you:

      1) Our Colombia Cauca Single Origin a little bit less fruity, but with higher acidity kick (I assume your grapefruit comment means you like a nice level of brightness/acidity to a coffee)

      or

      2) Our Colombia Santa Elena Single Origin a very fruity coffee, but with a slightly lower acidity kick than our Cauca

Hope there's a winner here for you :)

  • As someone drinking exclusively milk based coffe such as latte or flat white, would this blend be a good fit? I like strong espresso notes in my coffee, so the beans should be strong enough to cut through milk.

    • Hey @Cineaste nice detail, appreciate you checking first!

By "espresso notes" I assume you mean you can taste the coffee through the milk and the coffee has a good level of chocolate notes to it? If I've assumed correctly our Thank You blend should hopefully be a real winner for you, it has great body, sweetness and chocolate notes up front with some nice complimentary fruitiness and a surprising pleasant acidity kick to finish round out the cup :)

      • Thanks, ordered!

        • Fantastic to hear @Cineaste thank you so much!!!

  • At risk of going against most people’s opinion here, I don’t rate LB coffee. Currently drinking a Peru SO from a recent deal with my Moka pot and I can’t get it to have a nice body. Just seems acidic and lacking flavour. I don’t think this is the first time. But they have great customer service and looks like others enjoy it so each to their own!

    • I've had two of their blends now.

Moments to Memories - quite good, happy with it without being blown away. For the price (when on sale) - it's a winner.

Thankyou blend - the one in this deal, seems a little too light flavoured for me in milk drinks. Not terrible but does struggle a little to cut through the milk flavour.

Might be worth trying another blend when a deal comes out?

  • I only need one bag, anyone placing a bigger order for free delivery want to sell one??

    • +3

And ship it to you for cheaper than $6.99 that Lime Blue can ship for?

  • Been buying Kai Coffee five-o for quite a while.. for me it makes the perfect black coffee.
Grabbed 4kg for free shipping. Will see how it goes.

    • +1

Woohoo thank you for placing such a fantastic first order with us @guitargeek89 I sincerely hope you absolutely love our fresh coffee :)

  • @BlueLimeCoffee have you thought about making a 50% decaf blend? Mixing your Swiss Water Process Decaf with another bean?

    • +3

why not just buy 1 decaf 1 regular and mix it urself….

    • Hey @glasswire appreciate the thought, ideas are always most welcome!

I did think about creating something along those lines a while back, but haven't gone all in on experimenting yet due to the availability Decaf. Once the availability issues get sorted I may jump back into experiment mode and see if I can create a blend I'm happy with…time will tell if we launch something along the lines of your suggestion. In the meantime the idea solution from @furythree (appreciate the answer assist) could potentially tie you over :)

  • @LimeBlueCoffee

So has this deal been as popular as needed to make it worthwhile for you?

  • @LimeBlueCoffee with the free shipping option selefted, is there a way I can request my order be shipped via Australia Post? As only AusPost service my address.

    • Hey @hcm great question, appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

If Australia Post is the only carrier with a network in your area, then our shipping software should auto select it for you. However, to be on the safe side please send a reply email to your order confirmation and I'll double check for you.

Looking forward to seeing what I believe will be a fantastic orders flying through our online door :)

  • Can I just freeze from your retail packaging?

    • +1

yes i bulk buy and freeze for weeks with no issues

just "defrost" in a cool dry place at least a day before u need them. they work like crap directly out of the freezer

use silica packets to absorb moisture if u have them lying around from other food packaging (after u take them out of the freezer)
this is optional as im too lazy most of the time to do it and still pull great shots

    • +1

Hey @Jacku freezing in our sealed bags should work really well, extending the freshness by months!

When you're ready to get stuck into the good stuff, you can make your first coffee straight away while the coffee is still frozen or wait for it to defrost. Main difference is you may need a slightly finer grind when the coffee is still frozen. Frozen coffee is more brittle thus grind particle distribution is more consistent than room temp coffee, as such you should be able to grind finer and extract more nuanced flavours :)

      • We are enjoying your fresh coffee! Thanks again for the bulk discount

Give me 100% Arabica beans all day everyday , who knows what goes in to a blend 😉

I have heard of another brand called Blend 43

    • +1

      ok but who asked

  • i bought a few bags from this deal

but laughed out loud when 3 x 1kg bags happened to be 90c short of free shipping

im sure that was a coincidence

    • haha @furythree readying about you laughing has made me laugh :)

Thank you so much for such a fantastic order and the laugh too, both are sincerely appreciated!

  • Bought some to try :) Not sure if you folks offer pick-up within Victoria? Also not sure whereabouts your roastery is.

    • Hey @benspawn fantastic to hear about your order, thank you so much!!!

Appreciate you taking the time to check. We don't have a click and collect option on our site at present. As we strive to dispatch orders nice and fresh within 48 business hours of roasting, click and collect presents a few challenges…life happens, plans change, which of course is understandable, but this can result in click and collect orders waiting to be picked up for weeks. We'll reevaluate click and collect down the track :)

      • Ah cheers for the reply. I was just thinking if it's near me, save you the postage fees. But fair enough, I understand the qualms and logistical issues with C&C. :)

        • sure thing @benspawn very thoughtful notion from you, thank you!

Appreciate you understanding, if we can figure out the perfect (or close to) c&c system then we'll likely offer it in the future :)

  • +1

To the people that have received their order, is it as good as the MTM ?

  • Ordered for dispatch on the 30th but won't be back in the country till the week after. I should be alright, right?

    • Hey @helpme fantastic to hear, thank you so much for another order!!!

Appreciate the heads up double check…short answer is "yes," but the way to get to the "yes" is a little more detailed and location specific. As such, when you get a sec could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation referencing this message?

  • Hi Tom

I ordered yesterday, but the earliest I could get my order despatched was 11th Dec. Is it possible to bring it forward?

    • Hey @bluedufflecoat thank you so much for placing another terrific order with us, your continued orders really do mean so much!!!

Never hurts to ask and as you likely already know generally speaking we're fairly flexible with dispatch dates. However, this deal is the exception to the rule. As mentioned in the deal description towards the end of November we started noticing that delivery companies weren't coping well with the pressure of peak season. As such, based on some research we deemed 11 Dec the week when although still busy, overall delivery companies would be able to manage volume again :)

  • Just placed an 2kg order for next month dispatch! Thank you!

    • Absolutely terrific to hear @Ruth Hill your fantastic order is truly appreciated, thank you so much :)

  • Perfect timing. I just got my bean-to-cup machine delivered a couple of days ago, I'm trying to convince my wife that the new machine is a step up from Nespresso, hopefully those beans will help me convincing her. I will give these a go alongside with the Brazil São Paulo single origin. Thanks OP!

    • +1

Hey @rodtp nice combo ordering skills, thank you so much for the terrific order, it's truly appreciated :)

Best of luck convincing your wife, hopefully all you'll need to do is make her a single coffee to get her on team "fresh coffee!"

  • fwiw.. The Decaf from this place is absolutely fantastic

    • Thanks for the info. Waiting for special offer to come soon.

    • Amazing to hear @skuzy thank you so much for your truly appreciate, positive, vote of confidence :)

      Hey @Qnox interesting questions indeed!

There is a decent amount of coffee grown in Ethiopia and there is some delicious coffee coming out of there. However, there is generally not as much spot available as other regions of the world. It's still available in Australia, we've featured is as a Single Origin, Carbonic Maceration and on a few of our Surprise Mystery Flights. My take on why you don't see more of it around comes down to demand, I guess like any product. Generally the highest quality Ethiopian coffee are very fruity naturals, the uniqueness makes them fairly costly relatively speaking, which of course impacts demand, but I believe more so it's the fact that fruity coffees are not as popular as chocolate coffees from a customer perspective. There are some chocolate centric coffees from Ethiopia getting imported to Australia, but these are generally lower quality (Grade 2, 3…) than coffee imported from countries known for superstar chocolatey coffees :)

  • Deal valid for orders placed until 07/12/2023, unless sold out before.

    Still valid?

    • +1

Hey @DAT appreciate the double check!

It's been extended to finish today, so I can reply to all the questions before it closes :)

      • Awesome. Thank You

        • :)

  • Just wanted to share my 2 cents. This is a beautiful blend. I only drink Espresso and the flavour is wonderful. At this price it's deadset bargain. Bought another 2 kilos to share with family.

    • WOOHOO that's absolutely amazing feedback to receive @Duece1995 big smile on this side of the screen, I'm so thrilled to hear our fresh coffee be described as "beautiful" with "wonderful" flavour :) :) :)

Thank you immensely for your terrific, complimentary, vote of confidence and placing another fantastic order with us, your continued support means the world and we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books!!!

  • Actually liking this blend as a single (12 g) w/ 100 mL milk in case anyone is used to writing singles off.

  • Has anyone else had problems with Couriers Please?

Ordered for a Dec-12 dispatch and Lime Blue did their thing on Dec-12 and got it away. Unfortunately Couriers Please tracking is stuck at "Collected from sender". I'm about 30 km out of Brisbane.

Looking forward to trying it but sad that my beans have probably been sitting in hot warehouse for a few weeks now :(

    • Hey @chrisdotpy shucks that sounds frustrating, don't worry we'll do our best to sort this out for you ASAP!

In excess of 99% of our orders dispatched in December experienced efficient, issue free delivery. A 100% perfect delivery experience across all orders can be tricky to achieve when we need to rely on external companies like Australia Post and Couriers Please for delivery, but 100% is a goal we'll continue to strive for. Good news is the delivery company warehouse sorting facilities are usually kept at a nice temperature, more from a working conditions perspective for the staff than protecting the parcels (although it's very important to protect the parcels too). Nonetheless, something has clearly gone awry with your delivery, so if you have not already reached out to us, please send a reply email to your order confirmation requesting we look into the delivery for you :)

      • Thanks @LimeBlueCoffee.

Yeah - no issue from with with LB. This stuff happens!

I opened a new bag of other beans yesterday joking with my missus that my LB beans would show up now as a result of that. No such luck though - I've shot you an email.

        Cheers
        Chris

        • Hey @chrisdotpy thank you so much for such thoughtful understanding!

I've taken action and replied to your email :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Sadly my order sitting with Couriers Please since 15th Dec and still supposedly wont be delivered till the 6th Jan, I really wanted to support your offer buying 2 kg 23/11 and did also forward order another 2kg for Jan but sadly Couriers Please are the worst and would prefer Aust Post at least they only take a week.

            • @MMM: Hey @MMM that timeframe looks like something may have gone awry during the delivery transit process, what you get a sec could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation so we can looking into this ASAP for you?

Thank you so much for your support and terrific orders, they truly are appreciated and not something we take for granted!

Depending on your specific location, I think this delivery on the slow side is likely an exception to the rule, rather than the rule. That said, for future reference you're able to specifically select Australia Post only delivery if that's your preference :)

              • @LimeBlueCoffee: Sorry to say but Couriers Please you lucky to get your order never mind in a timely manner, and I probably would not have ordered if I knew delivery was by Couriers Please, as 3 weeks is the norm with them to WA anyway.

                • @MMM: Hey @MMM I understand delivery delays can be frustrating, if you have not already done so could you please send a reply email to your order confirmation email referencing this comment?

As mentioned in my prior comment, you're able to specifically select a delivery company at the checkout if your preference is only for Australia Post. If you select the "no delivery company preference flat rate shipping" then your order will be assigned to a carrier around the time of dispatch based on a number of continually changing factors; as such it may be Australia Post or Couriers Please and this could change from one order to the next if factors in the algorithm change. In other words just because Couriers Please was designated to you this time, it doesn't mean Australia Post won't be designated to you next time, but it you only ever want Australia Post then that's what you'll need to select at the checkout, as that selection overrides the allocation algorithm :)

                  • @LimeBlueCoffee: CPBP6LZ0021322001

                    https://www.couriersplease.com.au/tools-track/no/CPBP6LZ0021…

from memory and maybe wrong but your special price didn't allow choosing it was at your shipping discretion?

                    • @MMM: Appreciate the follow up @MMM There's a specific reason we ask for a reply email to order confirmations, it's not to be difficult I can promise that. It is done primarily to ensure things don't get missed and typos don't happen as they can prevent resolution e.g. the link you've sent has an invalid tracking number. Please send a reply email to your order confirmation when you get a sec as that is the only method in which we can get a resolution for you :)

To confirm, the shipping option selections did not change with the deal, you were able to select Australia Post during the deal pricing. Most people during the deal were fine with the no delivery company preference method, but we did have a number of people selecting specific preferences be it, Australia Post, Couriers Please or Express Post.

                      • @LimeBlueCoffee: p.s. looks like you've update the link to a valid tracking number, but it shows the parcel was delivered last week…if it hasn't been delivered please send the reply email :)
