49% off Thank You Blend Coffee Beans 1kg $22.70 + Delivery ($0 with $69 Order, Delayed Dispatch Available) @ Lime Blue Coffee

3870

Hey Oz Bargain Community,

The thought of this deal has literally kept me up all night thinking "have I gone too hard on this deal? Is the discount too big and margin too small? Oh no, what am I about to do and why am so much more nervous about this deal launch..?" Then I suddenly had a reassuring thought this morning "if I can't sleep for thinking about this deal, questioning if the deal is too enticing, then hopefully that means I'm onto something." Fingers crossed this deal's a real winner for all of you!

I been wanting to launch a new blend I've been working on and also send out a Black Friday Cyber Monday deal that would show how sincerely grateful I am for this wonderful community's support (has truly been life changing, thank you so much). On another note I also really wanted to go all out on this deal to turn a negative feeling I recently had into a positive outcome. Bear with me I'll try to not write a novel… I went to a large store recently and noticed a ~50% price increase on water within about a month. I know first hand costs have gone up a lot in certain industries (not complaining, simply acknowledging it), but I'm not aware of water being one of those industries, especially not within about a month. Then I started looking behind the bright coloured "special" tags on prices throughout that store, lo and behold I kept seeing that the "special" price was the same as the original full price. I left the store thinking "what on earth is going on here?!?!?!" Anyway nothing good comes from walking around ticked off. As such, I've tried to flip that negative feeling into a positive outcome via combining these three goals to offer this $22.70 per kg deal and name this new blend our Thank You Blend, which is aptly named for this time of year as it's a terrific gift to give yourself or someone else :)

We're offering you a 49% discount off our newly launched Thank You Blend,, only $22.70 per 1kg (usually $44.50 per 1kg).

The overall flavour of our Thank You blend is within the same general spectrum of our much loved Moments to Memories blend, however this new blend has distinctly enhanced sweetness, a bit more of an acidity kick and a fantastic symmetry of clarity between the chocolate and fruity notes, it's almost as if the flavours are perfect dancing partners

Deal valid for orders placed until 07/12/2023, unless sold out before. In terms of dispatch, I've been paying close attention to how the delivery companies are going to cope with BFCM this year and their network structures are already showing a few early cracks. I want you to have the best possible delivery experience. As such I've made the tough decision to limit adding further orders to the BFCM delivery company storm and do my utmost to manage the delivery experience for orders already scheduled for delivery in the next week or so. For this deal dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday December 11 (based on recent years that's when delivery companies get back on track) and as far as the second last Tuesday in January (30/01/2024). Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • We're happy to accommodate dispatch date changes, you just need to submit your request within 60 days of your order being placed and at least 24 hours prior to the current dispatch date selected. Please submit date change requests via a reply email to your order confirmation
  • One dispatch per order
  • Complimentary gift notes can be submitted via a reply message to your order confirmation email
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag

Following the success of our recent trials of new shipping rates, we've decided to extend these for this deal too :)
FREE SHIPPING for orders over $69. We recommend freezing any excess bags purchased to quality for free shipping, without compromising on enjoying fresh coffee.

Tim Tam Slam? If you take 5 seconds or more with one of those you end up with a goopy mess down the front of your shirt that's kinda hard to clean off and a bit embarrassing to explain to your work colleagues what really happened up in the tea room….and I just said that out loud, didn't I?

Hey @Gary ANJ appreciate where you are coming from and I know first hand it can be at times frustrating to think a company may be overcharging. However, I think there may be a few factors you may have not considered:

      1) The overall margins for this deal are wafer thin, which means we'll actually lose money on certain order based on fluctuating delivery cost relative to different regions and we'll also lose money overall if the deal doesn't bring in a substantial amount of orders. We only make a profit on this deal with scale, so it is already a financial risk right now, but an educated finance risk given it's BFCM. To have this as an ongoing price where orders come in here and there over time, rather than in bulk would 100% means virtually guarantee we'd overall lose money on an ongoing basis on this product line, which of course is not financially viable. This loss based on a forever $22.70 per kg would mean a loss only on variable costs, which means there'd be no positive contribution to our fixed costs
      2) This is for Black Friday Cyber Monday, which means there's a general expectation by people that this deal will likely be the most extreme one of the year and really needs to be to get people's attention given every single industry will likely be doing deals right now
      3) This pricing is my way of thanking the community for their ongoing support
      4) This pricing is my way of turning a recent negative feeling I had into a positive outcome. I go by "you're either part of the problem or part of the solution" notion, so rather than walking around ticked off I've tried to do something to counteract my experience in a positive way
      5) In response to your "seems like you're usually overcharging me," this is a new blend launch, so you wouldn't have paid for it before

Anyway I have a hunch you may want me to stop typing now, so I wish you well discovering hidden gem deals that are winners for you :)

What SOs are in thank you blend?

  • +1

Do you have any deals for delivery now? Running low and need a top up.

    • +4

Hey @SpaceJudge appreciate you checking in and I don't want you running out of the good stuff. However, as mentioned above (I know there's a lot on info, like I've written a mini novel), we've already started to see cracks in delivery company networks and it's not even the peak of dispatch for Aust Post and Couriers Please. As such, we've made the tough decision to put a cork in adding more orders to our dispatch schedule next week. We'll be doing our absolute best to work hard at managing the orders already scheduled for next week. During last year's BFCM Australia Post misplaced a whole pallet cage of orders which resulted in them having no scans for a whole week, their understandably frustrated a lot of customers and was notably costly for us too. As I've already seen delivery cracks starting to show this year, it would be a financial disaster for us if the same thing happened this year as last year given the pricing of this deal. I'd also be disappointed in myself making the penny wise pound foolish decision to add more orders to next week's dispatch already feeling like the delivery company's are going to cause issues and potentially frustrate our loyal customers. Rest assured I'll continued to keep a close eye on deliveries and remain in regular contact with our Account Mangers. If the delivery companies look like they're pulling up their socks then I'll open things up for ASAP dispatch and make the announcement here. However, at this stage I think the schedule will remain as is. I know this may not be the answer you're looking for, but I hope you can appreciate we're trying to put the customer experience before revenue :)

      • +1

        Thanks appreciate the explanation!

How fantastic to hear @CrazyPlant thank you so much for that wonderful compliment and another order, you've put a smile on this side of the screen :)

It's hard to pick favourite's as I love all of our different coffees, however if I was forced to pick a winner our delicious (of course a totally unbiased descriptor haha) would 100% be a contender!

  • +3

I already have 5Kg of previous orders waiting in my freezer, otherwise I'd be all over this like a rash. Thanks for the regular offers though LBC, we all appreciate it!

    • +2

Hey @jje sounds like you need to find a BFCM deal for a back up freezer haha :)

Thank you so much for your repeat order thus far, they really do mean so much and aren't taken for granted!

    • -4

Storing coffee in the freezer is a misnomer and stales coffee quicker than storing in a dark cool place. Get it out of there asap!

      • +5

Based on my own experience, you're incorrect.

        • -7

Based on the research of people who have studied the science of it, I am correct. But if you need to be right, by all means go ahead and freeze your coffee. Waste of power too, adding cost to your coffee.

      • Freezing coffee is fine- if you dont believe me here is coffee jesus aka James Hoffmann with his thoughts:

        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uT5_IWWb00

  • How would this compare to ONA?

    • +1

Hey @antik we generally don't comment on other roasters, so I won't speak to comparing roast profiles. However, in terms of the raw product (green coffee before we've put our unique spin on it by roasting) I'd say this blend would be on the same quality level given components of this blend are from their importing arm :)

        • +8

Hey @Lululuke I'll just clarify a few things so we're on the same page with how my prior comment is intended to be interpreted :)

Sasa owns ONA, Project Origin (green coffee importer) and Nucleus Coffee Tools (coffee equipment). There was a question specifically about how this blend compares to ONA. All I said is raw (unroasted) components of this blend will be on the same level of quality generally speaking as they are from Project Origin, which is an objective statement. I believe you'd agree, although it's quite important to start with high quality components, at the end of the day whether a coffee is delicious is significantly depending on how it's roasted. I didn't comment subjectively on how our roasted coffee compares to ONA's, as we generally don't comment (good, bad or indifferent) on the quality of other roasters. As such, to clarify my prior comment saying green/raw coffee from the blend will be on the same level simply because it's coming from the same place does not at all mean the roasted coffee will taste better, worse or the same, all of which would be a subjective interpretation dependent on the individual drinking the coffee. Fingers crossed I've cleared things up for you :)

  • +1

    Any chance to order 2x500g?

    • +1

Hey @zbc never hurts to ask!

Our 2x500g are generally quite popular, so I completely appreciate your query!

To make the margins work with scale for this specific deal I had to delve really deep into factors of every single associated cost, this includes packing time. As such, for this specific deal I've made a few adjustments to the norm for our other blends:
      1) Pre-ground is not currently available for our Thank You blend deal pricing due to the cost of the additional time
      2) 3kg is not available as a pre-select option (of course if someone really wants it they can select the 1kg and 2kg options or 3x1kg), it may surprise you to know 3kg takes longer to pack not only than 1kg and 2kg, but also a 4kg order is more efficient to pack than a 3kg order
      3) 500g quantity option is not available for this deal, this is based on the additional time it takes to pack a single 500g bag, which is longer than a 3kg order and also from the financial viability of a online basket size a 500g bag would be given the discount pricing
      4) 1kg and larger quantities packed into 500g bags is also not currently available for this deal. Now I know due to the extra revenue generated from 500g bags you may be thinking "500g bags cost more per kg" and you'd be right 1kg+ in 500g bags does increase revenue. However, based on this pricing the extra time it takes to pack multiple 500g bags would make them less profitable than less revenue to pack 1kg bags, keeping in mind I'm basing the numbers on a scaled dispatch compared to the norm

500g bags will be available for our Thank You blend in the future after this deal closes :)

  • Thanks Tom, I'm a huge fan of everything I've ordered from you and you've been excellent to deal with. I'm extremely curious to try this but will have to give it a miss since I'm over stocked to the point I had to give away one of my beloved 1kg bags last week. I hope this blend is still around in a couple months so I can try then since it sounds great!

Going to give this a go based on all the above reviews.
I only usually buy 225g bags which last me a couple of weeks, what’s the best way to keep the 1kg fresh?

    • +1

I got a plunger container as a bonus with my BDP which seems to work quite well (plenty of alternatives out there). Last few orders I've bought 3Kg of the Brazil Sao Paulo and frozen the other 2 bags, and they've lasted respectably. Just on the tail end of one, and my latest 3Kg showed up earlier this week, otherwise I'd be jumping on this myself.

    • +1

Hey @Heybargain terrific to know the positive comments about us caught your attention!

Thank you so much for pacing your first order with us, it really does mean so much and is an opportunity we won't take for granted :)

Great question. @SanguinarySeraph (appreciate the answer assist) has nicely pointed you in the right direction. Freezing the coffee will work wonderer to extend the freshness by months (even years, but for years you need to get a bit more technical with the storage process). Ideally put coffee in vac sealed pre-portioned container and then into the freezer. Based on your consumption I think splitting the 1kg into quarters would work well. If you don't have vac sealed containers, then zip lock bags. If you don't have zip lock bags, then you can use the coffee bag :)

p.s. if you end up using the coffee bag, not the end of the world to take the same bag in and out of the freezer to get some more supply, just not ideal as it'll slightly increase the chance of freezer burn which there's a relatively low chance on due to the low moisture content of coffee beans

  • damm I just ordered from the other deal 3kgs 😭😭

    • Hey @honkyb placing another order for dispatch on 30 Jan may be the winning solution for you :)

  • Great beans, great customer service and love the option for delayed shipping!

    • WOOHOO for that fantastic trifecta of uplifting compliments, thank you so much for your thoughtful vote of confidence @smarikoe I'm wrapped we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

  • Purchased 2 bags for Christmas! Have ordered your coffee before and it's fantastic. I will have family in this Christmas from interstate so we shally certainly enjoy this blend to start the day! :)

Terrific, thank you so much for another order @cunningdrew it's absolutely wonderful and sincerely appreciated to know that you think our fresh coffee is "fantastic!"

Well I hope our Thank You blend kicks off your family reunion morning's in the most delightful way and as the host you somehow manage to enjoy yourself too, rather than just hectically running around ensuring everyone else in your family is relaxed and enjoying themselves :)

  • Thank you!

    • You're most welcome @antiKk very happy to know our deal's a winner for you :)

  • +3

Can we get grinded coffee instead of the beans? Have never tried this coffee, but eager to try, going by the reviews. I do not have a coffee grinder at home so unfortunately cannot get the beans.

    • why is this downvoted?

I would like to ask same question. I see there is ground option for other beans but not this one.

    • +3

Time to get a grinder then, black Friday is tomorrow :)

Your coffee will taste better anyway.

      • -3

No thank you, some of us have cluttered kitchens enough as it stands

        • +1

It’s about the quality. Ground coffee stales in 15 mins and loses flavour dramatically. Surely something can go off the counter to make space?

      • +1

        Wise words @miicah !!!

I can completely appreciate it's an upfront investment for people, but it should improve their coffee flavour enjoyment ten fold compared to using pre-ground coffee. People don't need to spend a crazy amount of money to get an initial good quality grinder. I just had a quick search online and via Amazon; a Hario burr hand grinder is available for a super low $57.23, only catch is it ships directly from Hario Japan so delivery will take a little while. For quicker delivery Rhino hand grinders are available on Amazon shipped from within Australia for $65 :)

    • +2

Hey @Austin 316 and @jenesis33 never hurts to ask!

It brings a smile to know you're keen to give us a shot and I'd love you to try our fresh coffee. You're correct that we have ground options for our other blends and we likely will have ground options for our Thank You blend in the future, once this deal has finished.

@miicah (appreciate your helpful input) has provided some terrific advice. I completely understand purchasing a coffee grinder is an initial financial investment and an ongoing time investment (as it'll take 30 seconds to a minute extra to make a coffee grinding the beans yourself, although relatively small as a standalone I know time adds up). However, there are a few significant benefits (in my experience). First, your flavour enjoyment should improve ten fold by grinding coffee yourself on demand compared to using pre-ground. Second, it can be so relaxing to wake up and take a few minutes to make grind and brew/extract your coffee, if you do so with a sole focus is on that coffee and you put everything else out of your mind for those few minutes. I know the relaxing comment may sounds a bit airy-fairy, but it's a personal truth I discovered by accident. When I first started making coffee at home a number of years ago, I started with just a V60 Pour Over and a Porlex Burr Hand Grinder. At that time I didn't really know how to dial in the grind setting and how the "theory" would translate in "practice" as such when making that first coffee I was so focused each element of making that coffee that all other thoughts good, bad or indifference, completely disappeared for those few minutes. After the coffee all my ongoing thoughts flooded back to mind and it was then I realised how many thoughts I'd been walking around with and how relaxing it was to just focus on one simply task for a few minutes, like a mini vacation in my mind. Anyway I can see I've gone off on a complete tangent now, so to get back on track, perhaps the money saved on this deal could go towards further saving of a coffee grinder deal, doesn't need to cost the earth to make a difference, just make sure it's a burr not blade grinder :)

  • +1

Wanna try but already got a 6kg order of MTM blend coming through next week. Will have to give it a try sometime later.

    • Hey @slashor WOW sounds like you sure know how to place an outstanding order, thank you so much!!!

Happy to hear our Thank You blend has caught your attention, perhaps ordering some to try for 30 Jan dispatch may be a win-win solution :)

      • Fine. Will put in an 8kg order for 16th Jan soon. Should run out before the 30th Jan so that too late. Appreciate the bulk deal with the MtM blend since a bit more flexible to order anytime. Been using the freezer method to store extras. Seems to go well.

        • WOOHOOOOOOOO @slashor what an astounding order, thank you so much for another truly wonderful order, huge smile on this side of the screen :) :) :)

Very happy to know our ongoing Moments to Memories 4kg $100 delivered deal is a winner for you, as is the freezing coffee to maintain freshness system I highly recommend from first hand experience. When I first started experimenting with freezing coffee to extend the freshness timeframe a few years ago I was a bit skeptical about the results, but after much testing I swear by the system. I've even got small quantities of super special coffees I roasted over a year ago in my freezer at home and I sometimes pull them out to treat myself on a given weekend if I'm very happy with my weeks work. If I think I should have done better throughout the week, then the special frozen coffee is off limits for me, but I still make myself a fresh coffee from our delicious go to options…Now I think about it I can't really lose when it comes to weekend coffee, perhaps I need to reevaluate my system to super special frozen coffee on the weekend if I'm "very happy" with my week's achievements; fresh coffee from our regular go to options on the weekend if I'm "happy" with my week's achievements; room temp tap water if I think I should have done better during the week. Anyway I'll stop my out loud thinking tangent now, thank you again so much!!!

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Or you can do what I accidentally did. Found an opened packet of ground coffee at church. Figured what is the worst that could happen. Tried it with a french press. Turns out brown dirt water is what I got. Barely a hint of coffee. Maybe like 10% of the taste of normal freshly ground coffee. Was kind of impressed with how bad it was.

            • @slashor: Probably someones ashes…enjoy!

              • @tunzafun001: They probably would have been tastier or at least had intriguing flavour notes.

                • +1

@slashor: If it was Michael Jackson it would go well black or white…froth nicely with young milk.. but would leave a nasty after taste.

  • -1

Hi, I'm keen to try out but I am looking for ground coffee (in my case, Aeropress). Is this possible?

    • Hey @tangcla terrific to hear you're keen to try out our Thank You blend!!!

Sorry to say it's not possible to offer pre-ground coffee based on this deal due to the cost associated with the extra packing time. We'll likely add pre-ground options to this blend after the deal ends. However, in the mean time you may want to get yourself a burr grinder as it'll improve your flavour enjoyment ten fold. Amazon have some well priced options at present under and around the $60 mark. In terms of portability, some of these hand grinders can even fit inside the AeroPress chamber :)

  • Gutsy deal, worth repaying so I will order 2kg + 2kg with delay.
I also just ordered elsewhere but will have to drink more coffee now!

OK just forward ordered, set for coffee now well into 2024! thank you, great deal.

    • Hey @MMM WOW what a wonderful vote of confidence, I'm so glad this deals a winner for you :)

We took on the notion of "go big or go home" and we didn't feel like going home as soon as we got to our HQ as that would have been a super long u-turn haha

Thank you so much for two more fantastic orders, they really do mean so much to us and are opportunities we'll take for granted!!!

  • Was about to try another company to change it up but you just stole their business due to this deal >_<

  • Oh wait, I see that you can't dispatch it immediately.. I'll order this for my next batch

    • Hey @freestyle18 very happy to know we've caught your attention, thank you so much for another fantastic order!

Love your planning ahead skills :)

  • Hey is this suitable for latte drinker?

    • 100% @Danlew our Thank You blend is perfectly suited to both milk based (e.g. latte) and black coffees :)
