[Back Order] Herman Miller Embody Gaming Chair $2,336 (20% off) + Delivery @ Living Edge

240

on back order. Estimated Delivery: 8 to 10 weeks

Watched many youtube reviews recently and it seems Gaming embody and Digital Knit fern are the kings of chairs in the world. This might be a good deal since it is hard to get a fern here in Australia

was it even a house? or granny flat?

He’s in Sydney and $233,600 won’t even get you a cardboard box here

        • It could be an investment property (apartment) over in Bali that he sold
So technically he could be right

          • @RichieVn: Not in Bali it can't be. Only leases are available to internationals there. Which is a very good thing

            • @justtoreply: I think you can buy, there were advertsing apartments for americans in bali. I'm not sure.

              • @boomramada: "As a foreigner, you are not allowed to own the property outright in Bali. You will need to have a local sponsor, such as a local Indonesian citizen or a local company, to hold the property in their name"

                Maybe there's a dodgy backdoor.

Houses are for living. Screw investors. You shouldn't be able to own a house in a country you don't live in for at least a few months per year. You shouldn't be able to have more houses than 1+number of kids you have. That should be worldwide. And that's my opinion despite being someone who could rort the system (I'm just someone who values our kids future more than my own pocket). Rant over.

  • Where's the deal here?

It's 20% off, click the link and read the price to see the deal. Thanks.

I see, probably should be included in the title.

        • Yep agree

        • Yep I agree, original price is supposed to be in the title i believe.

        • Agreed. RRP should be in title.

          • @Justaddgrum: RRP in titles here exist only for people to complain about them lol

I don't think they ever added any value, particularly for deals on Herman Miller, as people here will only be comparing them to previous sale prices even if the RRP was provided.

It is 20%off for this year and may be 30% off compared with the price in 2024 . I bought an aeron at 1590 while embody was 1630 then.

Now I need another chair for my office. I really like my aeron and regret that I did not buy both at that time.

Just listed my kidney on Gumtree, hope they don't run out of stock until my operation

  • nice chair, but prefer those gaming chairs that can be tilted back 90 degrees

  • Deals on this are appreciated. In the market for this but hoping it will be a sub $2k purchase. May have to wait. Cheets OP

  • I had one of these years ago and it's definitely a good chair, but at double the price of a Leap V2 I can't really recommend it to anyone, having owned both.

I have been watching for the steelcase black Friday sale from last week. I have Gesture and Karman on my list but no Leap V2 because of its grey-plastic-like looking. How is the seat of leap v2 vs embody? I was told the padding of steelcase chairs is too thin and will get uncomfortable after 2 hrs seating

      • +3

I can't vouch for other Steelcase chairs as I have only used the Gesture for an hour or so aside from the Leap V2 which I have owned for a few years. I have never found the padding inadequate on the V2. The seat of the Embody is very different to that of a padded chair like the Leap V2. I would compare the Embody seat to a very comfortable hammock or sling. If you sit yourself down properly in the Embody and don't shift around, it's like sitting on a cloud. However, if you shift your weight around or want to adjust how you're sitting, it can feel destabilising just as it would trying to move around in a hammock. The front edge of the Embody is also quite rigid due to the plastic sliding seat depth adjustment mechanism. I'm not saying the Embody is bad by any means, but as someone who doesn't stay perfectly still when sitting in the chair for hours, I prefer the Leap V2 by a big margin, even before taking the price difference into account. Just trying to share my experiences as I figure not many people have actually owned one of these and it's a bit of a holy grail meme chair.

        • Thanks for sharing. Sitting on a cloud sounds amazing! My current super-rigid Aeron did not bother me when I shift my sitting posture so I guess Embody would be fine for me.

  • Aeron is 20% off too

Pair this with your favourite pair of Gaming Socks for the ultimate experience.

  • just ordered the logitech embody gaming chair; 10-12 weeks backorder wait time though

  • Embody is amazing, but please go try all the options out first before deciding. I had a really sore lower back when I was shopping for a new chair and the Embody was the only one that alleviated the pain for me. Now that we're in the office more, I'm considering transporting the chair to the office…

  • Hah! "Back" order.
