  • This is the NATURAL GAS version of the Q3100, not the LPG version.

I am always very confused, so can't get the gas bottle from Bunnings?

I see now, NG connection need to be plumbed in.

  • Doesn't the NG connection need to be plumbed in? What's the point in having wheels?

    • +1

I guess it's the same patio cart as the LPG version, I don't think they have specific carts

    • +2

Bayonet connector can be disconnected and reconnected. Like a gas "plug and socket".

    • +4

I have this and I have an outlet that I plug into out the back of the house. The wheels are handy when I want to take it somewhere else to pressure wash it or when I am cleaning (oiling) the deck.
      Very handy feature.

  • What is the actual difference on the BBQ in the LPG v Natural Gas version?
    Is it just the connection?

    Can it be modified?

    • -1

      not cheaply

    • +1

You will get mixed messages here. As recently as last year Weber would sell conversion kits for around $40. Recently you may be told it will void the warranty, kits aren't available and it isn't safe. Technically speaking it's a very easy conversion.

      • Natural Gas version has a larger input jet than the LPG version.

    • Also wondering this - are there any practical differences NG vs LPG?

We're in a rental so NG needs a plumbed in connection? That's a significant downside?

  • Thanks OP, bought.

You can contact Weber AU for a conversion kit (new hose).
The new hose will also come with a sticker for you to update the weber to be a LPG model. (same sticker found under the folding tray tables)

    • Any idea on the cost of this?

      • Found this - but not sure if its the right thing
        https://www.heatworks.com.au/naturalgasconversionkits/

Bring it up by at least another $120 - so the deal isnt as good anymore.

      • It was approx $40~ if I'm not mistaken.

I factored in the cost of doing this compared to selling the natural and buying an LPG

  • Any other Weber on special?

  • The Q2000 NG version is also on special for $309

    • Natural gas too - probably another $120 to convert to LPG

  • I have this and I love it. I don’t need to swap gas bottles.

  • Awesome, bought one, been waiting on a deal on NG model. $40 delivery in adelaide.

  • Does it comes with the stand?

    • Yeah. Stand is included with the family ones. Not sure if it's removable however.
