Used with PSU = $190 with ebay plus: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/295887387530

  • What I wish I knew before I bought my WD19s dock, is that a usb 3.2 port can only do 2x4k monitors if both monitors are dp.14.

What I should have got was a thunderbolt dock as it has way more bandwidth to handle multiple monitors.

Hopes this info helps someone considering buying a dock.

  • Can this do 4k144hz via USB-C to Laptop Surface 4?

    • The Dell site says:
      Max Resolution Details
      5K - 60 Hz (Single Display)
      4K - 60 Hz (Quad Display)
      https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-thunderbolt-dock-wd22tb…

    • The only docks I found that explicitly state support for high refresh rates (one monitor only) have been the ones by CalDigit.

I've got the WD19TB which I thought could support at least one QHD monitor at higher refresh rates because technically it has the bandwidth, but it doesn't…

  • Thanks for putting this up OP.

We can confirm that the dock can run at higher refresh rates than stated by Dell.

We've had a couple of customers confirm that the dock runs 144hz using a DP to USB-C Cable or straight DP to DP.

    • Do I connect the laptop to the USB C at the front? or to the thunderbolt 4 at the back? sorry not familiar with it
