OzBargain Website Lagging during Black Friday?

Clicks starting to take three to ten seconds

Seems like people are continuing posting new deals with ease, though!

General internet and navigating to direct deal store websites is fine.

      • It wasn't fine last night.

  • Yes it's taking about 15 seconds just to refresh this web page. Quite a bit slow. Typical sign of a web server not fit for the purpose during the Black Friday event. Not enough computing resource.

  • I'm getting a lot of cloudfare Bad Gateway, error 502 errors, ozbargain.com.au not found errors right now. I think that Ozbargain is actually losing connection to Cloudfare. I think that the server computer is so lagged that in some times it can't even keep up the connection to Cloudfare.

I thought it was because someone started an Israel versus Palestine thread, causing an immediate meltdown.

Does anyone think they can change anyone else's mind on that one with facts and debate.

  • I think I broke Ozbargain the last time with a forum thread that had too many pages. This one.

  • It was pretty laggy. I think scotty needs to wax his server to make it go faster. I assume they are already painted red.

  • change the dip switches on the MB that always used to get me a few extra cycles on my DX40 ;-)

    • Don't you just press the "Turbo" button on the case?

  • Also, OzB app doesn't work on Pixel 8

Use the website on your mobile browser. App is no longer in development and won't be maintained.

      • I see. However, it's still fine on my pixel 5.
