You know what would be a good freebie - offering a free sample for a limited time - say between 2-4pm or something.

I remember Jims jerky over a year ago used to have little kiosks set up at garden city and carindale and they had a slicer on the spot to slice up biltong and jerky fresh. The bagged stuff just isnt the same.

  I bought the bagged stuff from the last deal as well, and two things of note
  
  the jerky developed mould in one of the bags a month later, they were stored in sealed containers.
  
  they had a short use by date eg June 2012, a little more than 7-8 months at the time. I would've thought jerky lasted ages. Which reminds me, I need to throw the rest away (1-2kg worth)
  
  So I'm a bit wary of Jim's Jerky.

    that means way too much water content
    
    biltong goes mouldy quick but that's at least advertised as such and the price reflects this
