People will need to weigh up whether they prefer double velocity points by purchasing through velocity's global e-store, or if it's better value to buy from those e-tailers using cashback sites like starthere or buckscoop.

    • Absolutely, I think it might be better to buy from Strawberrynet from a cashback site. I was trying to find a site that gave cashback for ebay. I think there is one but just couldn't find it.

  • I have so much trouble being awarded points through their system. Purchases from the apple store didn't work at all, and when they finally credited me, it wasn't for the double amount.
Log in and keep an eye on your points balance and contact them if purchases don't show up.

    • I bought something on the Apple store Sunday, got an e-mail Tuesday saying that Apple Store had informed Velocity Frequent Flyers I had made a purchase on the 30/9/2012 and my points would take up to 30 days. Haven't got them yet though, I'll have to wait and see…………..

It may take a LONG time to get credited points through shop and earn (I'm talking months unlike MBC/Start Here/buckscoop. Just be patient :-)

I once bought something from estore via shop and earn took a year for Velocity points to be credited. No joke!

actually, Starthere can sometimes take a long time too. I have an Amaysim transaction back in February and it is still in progress now (8 months!!!). And multiple emails to Starthere never resolved the issue. Last email I got was "we'll contact the retailer and check". That was 2 months ago. Bottomline: rebate or bonus points - both require patience.

wow I never realised Ebay was on this site.. will have to use it from now on when I make a random Ebay purchase.

  • i used this site all the time.. yeah as people say it takes a while to 'approve' on Velocity's end, but it does again (just not over night lol). I do keep an eye on 'pending' points, in the past some haven't shown up, but generally a few angry calls to Velocity and they end up sorting it out. Honestly I'd say I've racked up around 30 to 40k of points over the past 2 years from doing noraml purchases I would have. Good work :)
