  • Wow a nice small alternative to a UHF receiveri remember when our old LandCruiser was stocked with a CB radio and a long ass antenna at the bull bar…
To think you can almost get a similar experience with a little device

For the extra couple of hundred dont bother, just get the packtalk edge. The 4x is good if you have 1 friend you ride with, but when it comes to groups and just simply audio quality with phone calls etc, the packtalk edge and neo blow the x series away. The noise cancellation is much better.

    • But I only have 1 friend :(

      • I have owned both. On the edge i can talk on the phone and people dont even know im riding. Much better option. Also better bargain because the edge duo pack is 736 plus postage at the moment. They are usually thay for a single unit.

    • I agree. The packtalk edge seems like such a better buy right now. Approx $100 more per unit (which hey is a lot more to be fair), but given the already expensive price… Makes sense to me.

  • TLDR: it's a set of Bluetooth speakers attached to the outside of helmet when riding motorcycles.

Cost me 5 mins to understand what it does, none of the product descriptions directly state the usage of it.

Not really. The com unit attaches to the helmet and the speakers and mic go inside the helmet. Its for any sports where you use a helmet but mainly motorcycles. It has long range and with other units can connect loads of people to a chat group while riding. Also used for making phone calls, listening to music, hands free controls etc. And finally if you want to communicate with someone without the helmet on, they make headphones that thw unit connects to. Think pit crews.

Really appreciate your elaboration! They should've put human understandable scenarios in the product descriptions or just hire you to write those for them: )

  • These intercoms are incredible for snowboarding, as constant comms changes the whole experience completely. I dont think i could go up a mountain with out them.
