Do it, what could go wrong!
Careful with home insurance if it catches fire. I wouldn't.
Please don't perpetuate the 'BuT mAh InsurANcE' myth - People say this crap all the time despite zero evidence anyone has ever had a claim denied for such occurrences.
Fact is about half of all house fires are caused by cooking, yet obviously claims don't get denied because ya doofus and caused a grease fire.
That's fine. Just go ahead and buy buy buy.
You are correct.
just get one from evse or something. If you can afford $40k+ on a EV, you can afford an extra couple of hundred on a portable charger from a local reputable seller.
Rebranded heymix hmmmm :p
Is it a GaN charger ,
yup
this one does not include required cable. When you add a 5m cable its dearer than the Tesla site one here:
https://shop.tesla.com/en_au/product/gen-3-wall-connector---…
so i cant see how this is a deal at all?3m cable is hardwired into the charger.
The 5m cable add-on is an extra that you can use on public chargers that don't have a cable.3m cable is hardwired into the charger.
Assume that’s a typo - it’s actually 7.3m.
This is a solid discount on a standard price, although there are plenty of referral credit bought wall chargers that people on sale through Marketplace if you are looking for a cheaper one.
It needs to be installed by an electrician anyway, Jet Charge gave me the most expensive quote, ended up going with a local Tesla approved sparky instead.
Looks like this was a cyber Monday sale price as it’s showing as $710 again for me right now
