Currently 64% off of RRP of $189.95. Comes in two colours, Brown Rub and Black Rub - $69.
In my experience, order a full size down from your normal size because they run large (e.g. Generally i'm a UK 11 but ordered a US 11, which made it a UK 10).

Recommended. Great for folks with wider feet, unlike most shoes which are inexplicably skinny. Comfy soles, most fit orthotics which means they're good to wear. Sizes tend towards large but whatever fits you.

I do note that construction type means re-soling is sometimes not possible, unless I'm missing the mark with these versions.

If they don't fit, Amazon are ok to offer a refund and pay for the postage, yes?

    • +2

Yes but it's still quite a hassle though last time this happened to me. It's worth quickly ducking into the the store to try it on.

      • +2

Use the no print Auspost/Parcel Point option. Then just put it back in the box/bag that was delivered in, rip off the old postage labels. Seal it up. Then drop it off.

No more hassle than go to a shop, and if it fits, you don't even need to return it.

Just in case people miss the image, this design is elastic on on the outer side and zipper on the inner side.

I am not a fan of the zipper (personal taste and all) and almost missed it.

    • +7

      zipper beats laces anyday!

      • +3

I can tolerate zippers on a lace-up boot, but they look absolutely ridiculous on a chelsea boot

        • +2

They are on the inside, so not as if others would see them. But if you prefer, there are other boots also on sale (just go to the Hush Puppies website - Cyber sale) that don't have zippers…

  • +2

What the hell is with the zipper? That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a chelsea boot.

    • I don't mind. Easier to take them off at end of the day. And they are on the inside anyway so hardly noticeable.

      • The elastic sides are meant to stretch so your feet comes out easily…

        • I have this exact pair in 2 colours (black and brown). The zipper makes it easier to come off even with the elastic sides. Otherwise I need a shoe horn as it's not sufficiently easy enough to take them off without a bit of effort.

          • @cute as duck: I'm saying, a proper pair of Chelsea boots where a zipper isn't on one side should be easy to put on and take off. If both sides were elastic, there wouldn't be much resistance. If you have one side with a zipper, of course it wouldn't stretch to its maximum potential.

Too casual for the office? Or acceptable?

  • Brown Rub OOS, 1 left of Black Rub on Amazon

  • +1

All anyone seems to wear in the office in Australia is RM Williams boots…. Nice to have hush puppy boots instead

    • +1

Slinky zippered 'n ready for action! lol

  • Just get RM's

  • -1

good deal, i was thinking of getting some rm williams for christmas, but these are way cheaper for exactly the same boot. win win

  • +1

    OOS?

  • Showing as $119, am I too late?

I don't like zippy things but for those who missed hush puppies, Rivers also sell Chelsea and other boots online only starting from $ 17-19 (+ shipping about $13, over $120 free shipping) though not all sizes available. Buy 20 pairs Rivers for one pair of MR or 3-4 pairs of HP price and wear each pair for 1 year= total at least 20 years.

  • FYI - I got a size 9US that's too big and am planning on sending them back to Amazon for a refund. If anyone wants them, let me know in the next 24hrs. Brown Rub style.

  • expired? 199$ amazon & site

  • I bought a pair of shoes directly from Hush Puppies online as per this deal and I cannot believe how terrible their service is. They never sent me any confirmation email for delivery and their phone contact is genuinely unreachable. Sadly seems to be a common occurrence having checked other online reviews. Anyone else in the same boat?
