Ashtray maze is a must have gaming experience.

Yeah I was not expecting a sequence like that. A gaming development masterpiece. I've heard there's something equivalent in Alan Wake 2 as well.

there is, Alan wake 2 is just wow. I am just waiting for the new game+ to start another playthrough. After RE4R this is best game for me this year. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoyed any survival horror game.

  • best metroidvania 3d

  • A funky psychedelic game that you must own.

    A nice 60fps experience on PS5

    • Better expereince on pc

I didn't think it was that great personally. A good price though, if you need to fill your game collection

Awesome game, dropped 50 hours into it and still craved for more

Just finished Alan Wake 2. My GOTY and one of the best games I've ever played. I'm thinking of replaying control as I didn't play the Alan Wake DLC. This should have that included right?

    • +2

It does! Ultimate Edition includes all DLC, same with the disc.

I loved the setting of this… the whole vibe was awesome.

The actual gameplay I found got tedious pretty quickly to the point where I gave up on it without finishing it. But for this price you don't have to play that many hours to get your money's worth out of it.

Agreed… amazing atmosphere, weapons and some of the missions are just amazing. But I got really annoyed with the fact you can’t clear areas of enemies without the same ones popping back up every time you get back in the same area. Like you said it got really tedious and gave up half way in.

Yeah thats Remedy combat unfortunatly. Theres no shame in playing on the easiest difficulty to avoid having to deal with it.

    • Yeah same here, usually the story would keep me going but it was just toooooo slow to unravel and I lost patience, it didn't hook me in enough early on to keep me going.

On PS Plus Catalogue as well. Awesome game and the haptics are amazing!

This was a PS Plus game in February 2021. Check to see if it is in your library before you buy it.

Herald of darkness! Man, what a sequence. There is nobody making games like Remedy right now.

      • +3

The best thing I’ve ever witnessed in video games

  • Fun game except that one part, we ll know which part.

    • +3

Been over 3 years since I’ve beaten it. What part?

  • +6

Currently playing this game. I highly recommend it. It is in the same universe as Alan Wake though so I suggest playing at least Alan Wake 1 first, Control, and then Alan Wake 2 (that's my plan).

Same price on Steam store for PC

  • May I ask whats the difference between ps4 and ps5? I have got ps4 version from plus awhile back

    • PS5 has RTX mode or 60 fps if i remember correctly..
Oh and the shoulder buttons change "feel" depending on the weapon. This was my favorite! Some were smooshy, some were clicky, some had a low trigger, another one was high.. etc

  • Got it free from Epic last year.
