Because they're not similar
This is very different to Audible, it summarises books down to 15-20 minutes.
I have 'read' about 40 books through it and there are generally three outcomes:
1) Sounds rubbish, glad I didn't waste the time / money on the full version
2) Pretty good, but I feel like I gained everything I wanted from this book from the summary
3) Sounds very interesting, I'll read/listen to the full version

How do you share the app between 2 accounts?
Once you signed up, there’s a ‘gift’ icon at the top of the app. Click on that and you can share a single invite to another user.

They use ai to do the voice over summary, so I think they've reduced their cost quite a fair bit.
