  • Wonder if United will match these and come to the party, Mrs prefers them with the internal US flights having longer layovers coming in from Oz (for her anyways).
Good to see the prices being realistic and affordable.

    • Looks like United have joined the party - Sydney to LA for $1198 nonstop

      • Legend, looking at the dates in July which isn't on special at the moment… Will keep an eye out!!

I will never fly Air Canada again, and you couldn't make me, even if you paid me.
    Absolutely horrible airline.

Don't be surprised if they try and charge you for your bags for any flight within the USA/Canada even if they're included at time of purchasing from the Australian site.

  • Noticing plenty of cheap dates around May 2024 as well… Looks like I can fly Melbourne to Minneapolis return for about $1800. Thank you OP - was staring down the barrel at $3k for flights (got a wedding to attend!)

    • Happy to help!

  • I recently booked Asiana Sydney to NYC for our family of 4, ~$1500 per ticket. Mid July to early August 2024. Overnight layover, but apparently the airline sometimes help out with accommodation so gonna reach out and see…

Nice! Great deal. Definitely check if they do STPC (stopover paid by carrier). Good luck :)

Still waiting on my points from HSBC Star Alliance Credit Card: 50,000 Aeroplan Points which I think would be great to use while these prices are available.

  • Any thoughts on MEL-LAX fare prices later in the year, September-October?
Are they likely to be more expensive, or will sale fares be released closer to the time?

    • I would guess there'll be another sale. But, there should be September dates here - I can have a look for you if you tell me what dates you're looking at?

  • Cheers, out of Melbourne mid to late September, back mid October.
Could move around a week or 2 either way.

    • +1

yeah they are working for early September but not into October. But, it looks like these have been coming up every few months so I think you are safe to wait for the next sale :)

    • I'm looking at a similar journey.
Liking the Fiji Airways option: nicer reviews, new A350s, quick transits in Nadi, and optional upgrade to Bula space seats.
      $1333 + bags $210

  • Can anyone share their experience of self transfer from Domestic to International terminal in Sydney.
How feasible it is with 1:30hrs of transit ?

  • something weird about momondo i found is for example- filtering departures 06:00 on the slider means 06:00 won't show up.

you have to slide back a bit to 05:59 or less, for 06:00 results to appear/populate.
