We got these a couple of uears ago. There is way too much flex in them to stand on. Ok as a big body board orvyo paddle but dont get it as a surfboard.
Is this fibreglass or like bodyboard material?

Zero surfing experience here… how do you stop sand getting on a surfboard?
OP means get sand on the wax.
Don’t lay it directly on the sand. It doesn’t tend to stick in the water.
Don't wax your board if there is any sand on the top deck, rinse it in the water first. Sand in the wax is nasty.
Don't surf on the beach. Go to wave pools.
