        I can’t recall exactly but it’s something to do with needing a special permit and SA having its own trade promotions law.
        Other states don’t require businesses to acquire this permit before running a promo (for a certain amount).

      Same, but after a couple times my body started to not like the chips. Maybe I shouldn’t be eating the whole lot in one go. (Usually I have the chips for dinner then chicken the next day.)

        I am reporting to OP that at the time I went on line the site displayed Thursday 5 - 9.

        Just checked now, it displays the Tuesday 5 - 9 deal, no info that it is a limited campaign.
        But is presently " out of stock " if you try to order.
        Too bad, so sad, missed out, try next week, maybe.

          Sounds like oporto might have been in the middle of updating their website, hence the cross between previous deal thursday 5-10pm and this tuesday 5-9pm

    Gladesville store ran out of chicken. Started cooking more with a 30min wait but they're handing out free fries to say sorry. I got my large waiting chippies and snagged an additional chilli sauce in true ozbargain fashion.

    First time ordering today - should I have received a 'whole' chicken or does it normally come in pieces? Bit underwhelmed by the pieces I got together with the lukewarm underdone chips. By far my worst experience at Oporto to date.

    Yesterday, I placed an online order and completed the payment. Upon visiting the store today, I was informed that the chicken items were unavailable.

    When requesting a refund, I was advised to initiate the process online. However, upon checking my Oporto account's order history as instructed, it appears to be unavailable. The staff said there is nothing else he could do and started serving other customers.

    I lost my precious 15 dollars :(

      I saw an ad on Facebook that’s showing the $15 whole chicken deal

      It’s an app exclusive deal via OTR app but you can get the deal everyday. It doesn’t come with the chips tho

    What a debarcle! After a few teething issues with getting my card accepted I thought my order went through only to find out it didn't register at store. I tried again with the rep telling me not to use my Oporto dollars as this was returning an error - again, no order at the store. Rep did offer to process through their registers at the same price but as I'd already spent too many minutes trying to order I declined and went home without food. At home I discovered that each order has gone through 8 times so my bank account currently has 8 x $15 transactions and x $13.50 transactions pending ($1.50 Oporto dollars applied to the first order). To make it worse I tried calling the store to be told that their mailbox is full. I think this is my last transaction with Oportos.
