After reading this comment, I canceled the previous order and bought this.

Note that these are not really Vessel, they're made in Thailand and are just a rebadge. They're not really JIS either.

    • I canceled the order again,thanks.

Thanks so much for sharing this. These are useless to me if they're not JIS. Much appreciated

      They're not really JIS either.

Can you elaborate on this? Seems to say JIS all over them, and review comments indirectly confirm

The JIS standard was effectively abandoned 20ish years ago and the de-facto new Japanese standard is the same as the newer ISO standard for Phillips/cross-head that came in in the 2000s. The new standard is not the same shape as the old JIS but is claimed to be compatible with both JIS and Phillips. So, some sellers advertise "JIS" when they really mean "JIS compatible".

In my experience, although the new "JIS compatible" profile usually works well enough on old JIS fasteners, the original JIS works better, especially when the head is worn.

        • Good info thank you. Someone should train a GPT on all the useful OZB comments

I used Wera every day as a tech and they never let me down, very much worth the investment. I can't speak to this brand however
