On a scale of 1 to 10, how much of a scam do you reckon this is?

    • +5

My Nigerian uncle recommends this beer.

I sip this when I'm trading NFTs bro

  • I can't believe this has 3 votes.

Have you guys even looked at the site? How about looking into it first before commenting.
This is real. It's already in some bottle shops.

    • This listing has 66 clicks as of now, so definitely people would have visited the website and then added comments

    • Just fyi, a majority of the news coverage, be it tv, news paper etc, is just a paid advert.
      Nothing more.

Can't comment on the legitimacy of the product, but that looks exactly like a paid advert and is literally posted by the company their self.

Wait. So you’re telling me those A Current Fair segments about how to score the best deal on big screen TVs where they interview someone from Harvey Norman isn’t completely unbiased ethical journalism? 😱

    • +1

$5 cans of rubbish, no thanks, can have quality rubbish for that price

    • +1

ah yes, it has electrolytes - i hear that's what plants crave

  • +2

marketing gimmick - not a bargain

  • +4

Sorry, but I drink beer for the beer belly.
    Carbs are a must.

  • +4

$5/can of beer? Bit pricey don't you think?

    • But it has loooow carb.

      • So it's more expensive because it has less than what other beers have and is more like water which is fairly cheap?

    • Free shipping 🤣

    • I agree, $5/can is too much.

Its being compared to "Australia's Leading Low Car Beer", which is Pure Blonde at $4.59/can at Dan Murphy's.

      • +2

Pure Blonde must have spent millions on marketing by now, it's a trusted brand. eBeer just sounds stupid. People would punch their TVs if they saw an ad for it.

  • +3

Can anyone recommend a good eBeer reader for Android and Windows? Needs to be free. No Google Rewards credits left.

    • marketing of this company seems to have been outsourced to Airtasker.

  • Stone and Wood had an electrolyte 'recovery" beer before Covid was a thing. Nice try ..BS alert!

    • Reinvigam8, I rated it, remember it being pretty low % though

  • +2

So this is the beer plants crave?

  • 7g of carbs per beer. More carbs than beers that don’t even advertise as low carb.

    • So confusing… I am sitting here with a can of Better Beer in my hands that has 0 carbs, 12mg more sodium than this one, and 35 less calories too

The first stages of beer making are like making tea or coffee (where you boil water to infuse the flavour from the leaf or the bean) and in beer you boil the malt to extract the flavours and sugars.

Well, considering the boil stage happens after the malt has been removed from the wort (the mash stage happens at temperatures well below boiling), I'm going to go with "if this is the level of your beer making knowledge, this is pure marketing bs"

but how do you get the peak performance out of the water molecules because they naturally repel each other

Ah,water molecules naturally repel each other? Perhaps you might want to revisit chemistry 101 (or even year 11 chemistry).

So marketing bs and a lack of basic chemistry understanding? But sure, add an e to the front of the name and you're a genius :)

  • +1

Yes, the eBrewing technology has been verified in scientific tests conducted at an accredited research institute. These show an increased absorption rate of polyphenols – including flavonoids responsible for the colour, fragrance, haze formation and flavour characteristics – resulting in the enhanced flavour of eBEER™ when compared with other leading low carb beers in the market. The tests further show that the eBrewing technology enhances the flavour profile of the beer by 18%.

  • I thought it's 2 slabs :)

The copy on their website should carry a trigger warning anyone who's ever had a try at brewing.

  • +1

Don't care how great or rubbish the product is - $5/can for beer is not a deal by any stretch of the imagination.

  • +1

eBeer branding is giving iSnack 2.0 vibes.

  • +1

$99 for a carton of low carb lager 🤣 seems very overpriced. Surely if you want your beer out there for people to try. Send some for free. $10 is a rort.

    • +2

$2 per can would cover alcohol tax and a small profit to promote new product , $5;per can is up there with established brands .

    Can confirm, not a scam.
Aussie made, those in SA can drive up to Grunthal and try it from the tap.

You signed up just to comment on this deal? Not suss at all.

I don’t think people are calling it a scam thinking it doesn’t exists…

  • not saying its worth drinking but seems to be from a real brewery
