Received an email on my secondary email account from afterpay for $30 off first $100 order, Didnt even know I had afterpay account on that one, checked history on this account, never used it before

Code for the $30 one looks unique/targeted, Email says FIRST $100+ order but T/Cs never say first

Then the below $40 offer popped up

    Bumping this - might be worthwhile trying again this morning for anyone who successfully saved the promo to account but couldn't redeem.
    I wasn't seeing any discounts on gift card purchases over the weekend, but had another try this morning and it started working.

    First was able to use the $40 off promo.
    Went to try the $30 next but didn't seem to apply.
    I then paid off remaining balance of the first gift card, closed app and restarted, then I was able to use the $30 off a gift card.
    YMMV

      Afterpay was unable to approve second $100 purchase - "Sorry, we're unable to approve your order".
      Already paid off all balances, uninstalled, reinstalled app and changed payment card twice

        Glad you got one of them working. Not really sure what the rhyme or reason was for me to get the second working - though I wasn't getting that specific error, it was just showing the full amount when I went to checkout on the $30 one. After paying off and restarting it started working. Maybe just give it a bit of time and try again later?

          @tobinm @Wsk @linkindan Good news update: Afterpay finally approved my second $100 purchase with $30 off on a gift card on the app, after several attempts. Had to remove and add different payment cards, uninstalled, reinstalled the app and also tried to buy online on the PC but $30 off wasn't showing.

          @Wsk Keep persisting. Probably a glitch in the system too

            @trixieb: Didn't have the $30 off to begin with only have the $40 off. I purchased a GC directly through Afterpay app and it uses my $30 off $50 spent first (from referral) which went through without issues. I then tried to purchase another GC on the app and am getting the same error.

            A mate was able to use the $40 off this morning without issues.

              @Wsk: This message "Sorry, we're unable to approve your order" seems to be applied randomly so we are unlucky.
              I was reading several complaints about this on reddit. It's more common in newer accounts but my account is not new - opened in 2021 and used a few times and paid on time

    Yes both the offers working again……managed to get 2 gifts cards one with 40$ off and the other one with 30$ off….but tried to enter the promo code on my other afterpay account and now it is saying the code is invalid…..but still super happy to get 70$ off for 200$ worth of gift cards…..thanks OP

          Nah it's not credit limit. I added both to my personal account and redeemed both tonight, however I only added the initial $40 to my partner's account.

          Her $40 worked but she can't add a second $30 voucher to her account like I did. Our limits are both $3000.

    went to the good guys to buy my ipad on Monday,
    paid with gift cards and did 2 afterpay transactions of $100 just to give it a go, got the $20 off (spend $50 instore) applied and the $40. had already used the $30 for gift cards.
    stacked with the CBA Yello $300 spend at the good guys and ended up saving more than I would paying with gift cards. Bargain! Thanks OP!
