Decent price for 12L dehumidifier

Great thing to have for Bathroom, and especially during super humid weather conditions.
Helps so much in preventing mould. I got a bigger dehumifier for me 20L of Adwin I believe (and has been great for me)
Should quickly get humidity down to around 60% then gets slow after 55% in reducing humidity.

Also DONT just even bother getting a dehumifider that says < 8L / 24 Hr, its just not gonna be good IMO

Removes up to 12L a day but only has a 2.2L tank. You really want to empty this every 4 hours or so?

You'd be doing well to get the rated 12L a day. They usually rate these at like 30c and 85% humidity to get that max rate.

His whole selling point was dont choose a model that doesnt do 12 L a day…..

        • +1

If they are the same technology (eg compressor) a model rated at 10l a day will extract 10x the water as a model rated 1l per day in the same conditions

        • As I said " Should quickly get humidity down to around 60% then gets slow after 55% in reducing humidity. "

Dont expect it to fully extract 12 L in a day, given so many variable, and even then. Hmm and you really gonna have it running for 24 hrs ???
The whole point of getting a dehumidifier of larger extraction capcity in my opinion is so it quickly reduces humidity to < 60% ish (the comfortable/safe level is 40-60%). Generally speaking dehumifiers will have very difficult time getting below 40%.

Looks like the smart version of Kmart one:

Kmart version uses real refrigerant gas, this one use Propane a flammable gas.

      • where does it mention propane?

        • It may not list it in the Amazon listing, but elsewhere it's listed as refrigerant R290 (propane)

      • Many industrial dehumidifiers use propane, so I'm confused by your definition of "real refrigerant"

Dumb question. If i have a clothes dryer in a laundry room that does not have a fan but it has a door opened behind the unit when operating, would i still need a device like this?

  • I need a smaller version that fits inside my jocks.

  • Probably a silly question here, but how efficient are these compared to a portable air conditioner? If similar, might as well turn the aircon on.

    • ahh as I said these should get humdity down to around 60% fairly easily in IDK may be under 30 mins I think.

portable air conditioner- Can do dehumification too, yeah.

I was surprised how much water it pulled out of the air. About 2-3 litres a day.
But when the motor kicks in it’s super loud and blows hot air which just heats up the room. Probably good if you really need to remove moisture out of the air, but do not expect it to cool the room as it heats it up instead.
