I bought a used pair on marketplace for $100 in addition to the openrun and it's been pretty good, works even better with earplugs and makes the long sessions in the pool more bearable. The only annoying thing is having to (remember) to upload new music or audiobooks to it. Battery life is good too. $167 is a good price.
my original aftershokz just cracked and now wont turn on. luckily still under the 2 year warranty. unfortunately there seems to be no real alternative to this model from any other company

just tested. yes it remembers. however, note that theres no way to fast forward or rewind. a workaround would be to split a track if you have, say, a long audiobook
No Bluetooth connection in case people are buying thinking to use it for that purpose
that would be pointless as bluetooth doesn't pierce water
Some may be thinking of dual use, in and out of the water.
for bluetooth, people want a mic so they can answer calls if needed, but with a mic hole, you have water issues
