    Got my watch today. It's just the watch itself. No band at all in the box. No sport band or anything. So strange. So I can't even wear it. Will get onto live chat and get a refund. Really weird. And kind of p*ssed off.

      • No unfortunately. But is it not meant to come with a standard band? Was expecting two not zero.

      Try asking the Samsung helpdesk, I escalated to them and they said another delivery will be made in 3-9 days. Let's see.

  • How's this for inconvenience and annoyance.
    Basically, I purchased and wanted to trade in my watch. It asked for a serial number. After submitting, turns out the serial number I entered had a typo at the end. I called Samsung support right away who wasn't helpful cause it wasn't their department, they referred me to trade-up enquiries which took few days to respond. I told them about the serial and unfortunately an incorrect serial number is a straight up fail…
    I asked them if it's possible to correct the serial, it's only one character that's different. But nope, they want me to cancel order completely then show them the cancel confirmation so they can cancel the trade-up.
    Here is the fun part, i called to attempt on cancelling the order but it's too late it's already been dispatched and delivered.
    Now I'll have to return it.
    I wouldn't mind keeping it and just pay the security charge since it's still cheaper than buying the watch 6 RRP but they also want to charge $60 for admin fee. What a joke.

    Tldr: make sure you enter the right serial otherwise it's a hassel

    • You could have just cancelled the order yourself and made a new trade in using the correct serial number to and re-ordered the watch.
      When you cancel the order, it automativally cancels the trade in and will be refunded about a month later.
      The $60 admin charge was mentioned when you completed the trade in, also known as the non return fee.
      They had to introduce something to minimise people from making trades for things they never going to send back just to get bonus trade in amounts and they also have paperwork to complete for it which takes up their time so i think it is fair.

        Maybe cause the sales team was so efficient or just lazy. But I couldn't cancel the order, why?
        It was already "waiting to be dispatched" (soon after ordering)
        I have transcript, I asked to cancel the order and you know what they said? It's too late they can't cancel it cause it's waiting to be dispatch they would need to contact the head office and by the time they would get the results it's too late the item would be shipped so they ask me to just get send it back once it gets to me which I did now, they emailed me a return label.

        • Yes, that is how Samsung works. Everything is automated and run by hundreds different team it is not possible to stop or modify anything. They will refund without questions so no point to complain as they will say if you don't like it just return. End of story.

        • Sounds like you didnt think of it and your story has holes because it wouldnt have gone to awaiting dispatch straight after you ordered.

          Nearly all companies will not cancel an order after the order has been packed for delivery either as it can be difficult to locate at that point or may have even left as the awaiting for dispatch could also mean it has been picked up but not yet updated in the system. It is easier and cheaper for them to get you to refund than waste an employees time finding the order in a pile of unsorted packages waiting to get shipping or risk cancelling if it had already been sent which means you get a free watch.

          Then you wanted to cancel the order after it had already been delivered. Of course no company will do that. If they cancelled an order after you have taken delivery, for all they know, you wont return the watch so they lose out.

          Here is the fun part, i called to attempt on cancelling the order but it's too late it's already been dispatched and delivered.

          Just suck it up that you made an error so you have to put in some effort to fix it or send back for a refund instead of expecting them to change their processes just for you.

    • Dont think you were even close to first since you hadnt even ordered an hour after the deal was posted. If your order confirmation didnt show the bands, then you ordered quite late.
      I think some payment methods can delay processing of the order as well or maybe some other things like account issues.

  • It's a shame when Samsung AU can sell a smart watch without a band, no one expected that and how people can use the watch without a band?
    The box comes with no seal and they even put the seal inside the box.
    They're funny af.

      • Mine came unsealed with the seal stickers INSIDE the box lol so it actually looks like they've even purposefully taken what band was with the watch OUT of the box to send just the watch, the sneaky buggers. Not a big deal for me, I have a sports band and a third party leather that work with it already, just annoying

    • Mine came sealed with a band as per the deal and as per my order. For a regular sale it will come with a band if you buy a band also. You simply just have to add that to the cost of the watch so essentially it's just a split cost now rather than one end price. Many companies are doing this, Apple with no chargers and very few if any other accessories in the box etc. For the record I think a watch should always come with some sort of basic band (even if it's just a crappy $2 band), just so it's useable out of the box, with the premium bands being at an additional cost. But it is what it is, just remember Samsung aren't the only ones doing this, it seems to be a trend.

      • Dont think that is right. If you just add a normal, non secret sale watch with the default band, the band doesnt show in cart but there is a message that says the default watch band will automatically be included in order. If you swap the band to a different option, it should show in the cart though and adds to the cost of the watch.

      • As they try to make the cost down, I understand that they want to take off charger plug, headphone, etc…But sell a watch without a band is something unacceptable.
        In their website now, when you buy the Watch 6, standard band is default and you don't have to tick or un-tick that option.
        Even if you want to do so, you need to make a statement about that so the customers are educated and informed that the watch will come with no band.
        What Samsung do with my order is definitely unacceptable and unprofessional. Never see any smart devices (watch, phone, table) come in box with no seal. All brand new devices always come with sealed box and they even state that do not accept if the seal broken.

        • It was a mistake. It happens. The watch should have went OOS once the fabric bands were sold out but it didn't. I doubt they intentionally sold the watch without the band and there was apparently a message that said to not proceed if the band didnt show in cart if you read the comments from online chat. I did not see any message though this time though. In previous secret sale deals, there were messages about not removing the band from cart though after you added via the secret sale page.

            • @snvl: Samsung CS lied. That message was only added on the 2nd wave (the LTE with pink band). Obviously they were aware of the issue and probably had many complain on the 1st day, so they added that warning the 2nd day

        • get one from ebay local seller… you get them the next day or max 2 days later. tell the how difficult it was for you to buy this at such a cheap price show her the jbhifi full price page and say chill out Lady cant you wait another day? consider you are lucky already..

    Not sure if this helps anyone who might have grabbed one as a gift and are wondering if it has the band or not.

    I had the Bluetooth one with the band inside the watch box and it weighed 198g.

            @hanofee: The model isn't tied to the band tho.

            The same model can have any band and it is customisable on the Samsung website before purchase.

            The important fact from daemon is the weight 198g. Which allows people to know if a band has been included or not without opening and breaking the seal.

                • @daemon: I am not taking my chances, called in this morning and went to the returns section, was told they will get back to me within 24 hours, I am not sure if they are being honest or just trying to do the delay tactics.

                    you need to supply the photo of the box with seal intact. then wait. you'll get email approval to send with label. and then pack and send it.
                    they had refunded thousands of $ from ozb people last month (buds, etc etc) so refunding your $300 watch is no issue

                    • @CyberMurning: That if everything goes well. Once, u hit a problem in their automated system, they just don't know how to resolve. I still have my return not sorted after 2 months, as I never got the return label. They keep escalating and no result, week after week (yes, I tried email, live chat, or even phone). I finally got the return label email last week, but guess what, there's no attachment of the return label. So here I am, keep emailing them again :(

    I understand that you wanted to return your order. To be able for us to assist you further, can you take a picture of the sealed box of the watch and the band as well? As it is needed for validation. Looking forward to your email.

    I've been going back and forth with [email protected] telling them how I cannot take a picture of the sealed watch box and a picture of the band.

        The rep was unable to cancel the old order and told me to return it after I receive it.

        I opened the $158 one and still have the $260 one sealed :)

    • Update on this return.

      They agreed that it is not possible to take a picture of the band and sealed watch box so they said just the sealed watch box is enough from different angles (need to capture both the seal at top and bottom).

      I've received the email with return label details so all well that ends well.

  • Got my Bluetooth version a couple of days ago and I thought something was weird after the first day. I have it had it for a few days now it doesn't even last a day with the battery WTF.

        • They can return it if the battery is defective… but it is up to them to prove it lol also Samsung can choose to refund or replace if it turns out the battery is an issue.

    • Thats normal. Short battery life was mentioned in reviews.

    • That's absolutely not right - my watch4 lasts about a day and a half with AOD on, heart rate on, exercise detection on, etc… What watch face are you using?

      Battery life (weirdly) gets better with a couple of weeks usage - though 1/2 day is absolutely not good, and the 6 is much better than the 4.

      Sounds like yours might be cooked?

      • Yea I reached out to them. They suggested a factory reset. Possibly the firmware update after i configured it when i got it. Will see how it goes tomorrow

  • Now that everyone has their watch6, any recommendations for a charger? I am looking for a 3-in-1 like Samsung trio except I don't want to pay $99 for it lol

    I have Samsung S23U, buds2 pro, and watch6. Looking through most of the wireless charger tag a lot of them don't support Samsung watch, only Apple. I have a magsafe case on phone so even better if it is compatible.

    I found this one for $26 but there are only 4 reviews.

    • I have one from AliExpress.. around $20 delivered. Charge my gw6 fast. There is a very very low coil whinge sound, I think most ppl can still sleep over it
