          Youre a legend mate

      • Get educated

Honestly, associating a product to genocide. How much more farfetched do you have to be.. comments like this make me thing the people have gone mad.
Can't people just enjoy the products they buy without having to turn this to a political debacle?

      • -2

I used to think it's just religious nutjobs fighting each other so didn't really care as I'm an atheist. I educated myself by looking at both sides and regardless of who's right/wrong, many innocent humans are being oppressed and denied basic human dignity by the Israel Gov. Certain brands are complicit in enabling the oppression which is why I'm compelled to call out these brands and give the oppressed people a voice. Taken the "red pill" but understand some people choose to be blissfully ignorant and take the blue pill. Each to their own

Again making it a political discussion. Maybe just tell op to write product of Israel in the description it leave a simple comment like that in here and that would have been sufficient but nope you instead decided to introduce a freaking political downward spiral of a discussion in a bargain thread for a home soda water maker

          • -2

@maverickjohn: And that is the issue. Certain brands are specifically pro genocide and support ITF. Some of our favourite brands are doing this and we should speak up!

People should be conscious of where there hard earned goes.

People are all for someone buying vegan leather because it’s better for animal rights, or paying $3 extra on their flights to ride “carbon neutral” - but not the same when human kids are involved?

@Soldier: That's not what I mean at all. The message will be clear. But the initial comment was snarky and political.. I'm not saying I support child slaughtering or any murder for that matter but the problem is the political discussions are infiltrating everywhere.. if I want to continue seeing things related to the war I'd be watching the news all the time. Like i mentioned leave it written as product of Israel and leave the politics out of the comments. We see enough of it everywhere else.

@maverickjohn: Nothing political, just being human but if that offends you, maybe just scroll…

@cmyk: Hahaha mate your comment is anything but human. Maybe a troll at best.

              • +1

@maverickjohn: Supporting innocent civilians from being butchered and oppressed isn't human? Sure… tell yourself whatever you want to make yourself feel better mate. Sweet dreams

@maverickjohn: Agree, bunch of flogs and keyboard warriors with too much time on their hands. Just take up the deal or don't.

  • I know that this product has been around for ages, but I'm still confused. Don't I need to buy CO2 gas canisters and the flavouring syrup in addition to this?

If so, then why is a simple CO2 gas delivery system so expensive (RRP)?

It's like the Nespresso but for carbonated beverages.

    • +1

It comes with one canister. You have to buy syrups.

You can swap over your canister or get it refilled (only at certain places)

To avoid costly refills then you can buy a larger co2 canister and adapter from kegland , and then you can refil your canisters yourself

See this deal for details of keg and adapater

      • One thing to watch is that the newer blue Sodastream canisters have a valve specifically designed to close if you try refilling too fast. I also had to remove the return valve in the donor bottle outlet.
Then invert donor bottle, take Sodastream canister from freezer where it's been stored and REALLY REALLY SLOWLY open the donor canister valve. Like the slowest you've ever done anything. You'll hear the gas start to flow, then can SLOWLY open the valve more. Bit of a faff, but saves $$$, as is the OzB way.

    • Just drink as plain soda water and don't need the syrups, most aren't nice anyway. Pepsi Max goes ok.

You'll find it's still more convenient than buying and lugging around 1.25L bottles from the supermarket etc

  • Heads up this isn’t compatible with the slimmer / more stylish fuse bottles supplied on the higher models - they physically don’t fit in the opening. Also the bottle supplied is not dishwasher safe like the newer ones are (50 degrees only not 70 degrees)
