Paul Edgecomb, the head guard of a prison, meets an inmate, John Coffey, a black man who is accused of murdering two girls. His life changes drastically when he discovers that John has a special gift.

Pretty great price considering the straight 4K is going for $61, if you've seen Shawshank and not this you're missing out :)

Edit: It's been region reported as a region-free Blu-Ray

4k blu rays are region free. very few are region locked

Maybe I've misunderstood it, but it says 4K + Blu-ray and is 2 discs which I took as meaning it includes both versions?

        4K (region free) + regular Blu-ray (region A)

nah, you're on the money, BD is region locked as you've mentioned.

Some solid import deals lately! Great find.

  • I've still not seen this, despite being a big Stephen King fan.

While higher price at the time of writing, just a general mention it has been in recent times listed on JB $26.96 - for those who want local/no prime, JB future deals, etc.

Definitely was a good import buy myself a while ago from Amazon and a solid movie.

    • It is currently $21.58 at JB Hi-Fi for Wicked Wednesday.

  • Is there a difference between a UHD disc and something you can find in the high seas?

I recently found a copy of Lawrence of Arabia, as the disc version is not available ($100+ on ebay) and the quality seemed fine but have no way of comparing to the disc version…

    • +1

Most content you'd be looking at would be compressed with a quality reduction from the disc version.
Unless the file says 'remux' then you're probably getting a compressed version which could have a perceivable difference.

  • I'm tired boss.

  • I liked this movie until the guy shot bees out of his mouth.
