The Ranger RF Smoke Alarm is powered by a non-replaceable 10-year rated lithium battery.

The alarm is fitted with a test/hush/silence button to facilitate testing of the alarm. The silence function also allows the alarm and alarm system to be silenced in the case of a false alarm.

This alarm can be used as a stand-alone alarm or can be connected with up to 40 alarms.

    These models have the RF module for linking included. The ones you linked do not.

  I got these in a previous deal. They work well!
  I have one installed in every bedroom, hallway, adjacent to the kitchen and in the garage.
  When one triggers they all trigger within a few seconds, and the optional remote allows you to silence and test them all really quickly and easily.

    Ours are at 2 1/2 years. I can update in another 7 1/2 years if you want ;)
    I would guess the RF is passive unless it’s sending out an active alarm. So super low.

      It can't be passive, it has to be listening (RF, not audio) for the other alarms.

        Yea, I remember back in my youth creating a AM radio that was powered by a potato.
        By passive I mean it’s not actively sending data out. Sending is where most power is used, receiving is very low power.
