  • Concerning all the pictures are for a cheaper lower model (T300)

    • I think it's just an Amazon listing thing, they sell the T300 on the same page and if you click through all the listed items the images don't change.

  • Which is better this or the fanatec?
    https://fanatec.com/au-en/ready2race/csl-dd-ready2race-bundl…

Recently sold my G29 and looking to upgrade in the future

    • Fanatec is pc only. If that is no concern then I would go with Fanatec.

Also think about how much you like to spend on other add-on like shifter and padals.

      • +1

Fanatec has the dd pro for ps4/5 too. Xbox compatibility can be done with wheel/rim change.

        • yeah but pro is few hundred more than what op linked.

    • +2

Fanatec by far imo. Pick up the load cell kit and then a power supply from Aliexpress to get to 8nm.

    • +2

I just picked up a Fanatec CSL DD coming from a G29 and the difference is insane
Not even the power just the fluidity - you can actually feed the wheel through your hands without feeling like your fighting a motor
No way I would go anything other than direct drive and the Thrustmaster is still belt drive.

      • Nice I really want to test one out before I buy just to make sure I'm happy it's a big purchase for me. Might keep an eye out on second hand, would you say that's the model I should go for if I want the best bang for buck experience?

        • the CSL DD is very good deal at the moment if you buy it in a bundle / with wheel + pedals.
If you need to save every $ buy the 5nm and buy an aftermarket booster (personally I just bought the official one as much as its a rip off)

I looked at used and there isn't much and what there was was overpriced other than some good deals on used wheels

          • @macmanluke: No clutch ? Or is that normal ?

I feel like having a clutch would be way more fun

  • Good deal. I paid $550 for a t300… sadge.

  • expired. back up to $998

  • Gone. Damn I snoozed on it.

Wow, no thrust related comments yet.

    • In the UK you can get a Thrustmaster in Poundland while enjoying a Gaytime.

  • belt driven?

    • +1

      Belt driven.

      • +1

waste of time old tech. pay the extra $200 for the dd pro by fanatec.

  • Expired, but curious to know how this compares to a G920?

    • would be a improvment but theres no point in belt driven anymore imo direct drive is better in every way possible. i cam from g920 to a fanatec dd 8nm and its an amazing improvment

      • I'm assuming direct drive has less of a dead zone?

        • im not a expert but ive noticed its a lot more accurate when racing the feedback feels great and its almost silent.

        • From what I have heard there is no dead zone on DD wheels

    • Gear Driven (G920) -> Belt Driven -> Direct Drive

Benefits as you move up the chain:
      - Stronger Force Feedback
      - Feedback is more detailed
      - Smoother action
      - Opens up more options for steering wheel & pedal options and other combinations

For a comparison, Logitech G920 max out at 2.5Nm, Fanatec CSL DD starts at 5Nm.

I've had 3 generations of Logitech wheels since G27, I've never really find it enjoyable as the force feedback is annoying and very loud.
