  • I am thinking to ask JB hifi to price match and get further 10%off

    • The 10% off codes do not apply to negotiated price I believe

It is actually working:) Just price matched with JB HIFI via chat and after using the code, it is down to $58.5

Camelx3 lies… It's been as cheap as $44 on Amazon. And $49 is usually achievable throughout the year.
P.s. I paid $49 for 4th Gen with clock. (minus cashbacks, etc.)

I believe that’s for the Echo Dot. This deal is for the full sized Amazon Echo 4th gen.

    • Is there a full size Echo with a clock?

      • +4

not yet. that would have been perfect.

    • Echo is not same as Echo Dot.

    • Also just noticed this is an upgrade to the dot + built-in Zigbee hub

  • Spy devices. Phone is enough. Google and Apple know everything about me. Don’t want to add Amazon to the list.

    • Trying to confuse them with multi accounts. By the end of the day, I confused myself more.

I've got an older generation of echo dot. Would I get any more features by purchasing this?

    • this is the full version of Echo.

Think of it the Echo full version as Iphone 15/ Samsung S23/ Google Pixel 8 vs Echo Dot which can be thought as SE/FE/Pixel A version of those phones

      • My Echo Dot seems to have access to all of Alexa's functions and a perfectly functional speaker and microphone.

Your analogy hasn't clarified what advantages I would get from purchasing the newer version. With phones, you get noticable changes in processing speed, camera capabilities, and screen resolution, amongst other changes. However, here I can only see a change in visual design and I assume it has better speakers.

Are there any other benefits to upgrading?

        • Built-in Zigbee smart home hub specifically for this one

        • Echo comes with temperature sensor and ZigBee conteol inbuilt. And the sound is much better than the Echo Dots.

BUT my Echo is going deaf while my older Echo Dots can hear me without any prob. So YMMV

  • The Pop I got for free from Topcashback (already cashed out) sounds better imo

  • These are great as a stereo pair.

I can confirm that these are shit and a waste of money.

    • You got this exact one or the dot version?

  • Has anyone tried using the zigbee hub in this to connect to homeassistant? it'd be awesome to extend the range of my zigbee network
