These are not very good … take ages to dry

The sun these days is pretty efficient

You're sleeping 8 hours a day. Turn it on then

I have the same model it's good

      False.

    • That's normal for heat pumps

    • How long should it take?

    • It's faster than a vented dryer.

  • I got this recently for the same price less increased (10%?) cashback.
Don't forget the energy efficiency rebates available from the Govt. I think my total out-of-pocket was low $500s.
This has been my first dryer but I have been happy with it so far.
It can take a full load from my 7.5kg washer and the "mixed" cycle takes around 2 hours. But I tend to stop it earlier as I find it's sufficiently dry after around 90 minutes anyway depending on what I have in there. It is pretty quiet and tipping the water out and cleaning the filter is easy.

    • I'm in Victoria. Any pointers how to obtain a rebate? Is it before buying it or afterwards?

      Cheers.

    • Save some of the water for ironing, it's technically distilled water.

      • Any tips for the non-ironers ;)

besides being good to ya mum ;)

      • Drink it, use to top up your car battery, water your plants, chemistry experiments, aquariums

        • +2

Don't drink it, it's condensate, so bacteria that thrive in that type of conditions such as Legionella can be present in the water.

You shouldn't be using this water in your car battery…..

  • I usually do too much research, I bought this dryer 6 months ago and has been great so far. Just remember to clean the lint and empty the water

  • I’ve got the EDH804U5WB and it seems good. Easy to empty lint and water. Sometimes refuses to dry clothes that are unevenly damp only in some places rather than being evenly damp throughout the load, probably can be sorted out if I read the manual

Sorry but I have to vote down, we are onto our FOURTH unit, first two had bent chassis, third developed a massive vibration after a few months, it was repaired but eventually failed again, replaced with the forth. have noticed the forth has been starting to make similar sounds so I am not sure how long this one will last. Good price for the features of this thing but electrolux just does not have a handle on quality control yet.

    • how long did each last? Or you mean they all died within a year and hence you got warranty replacements the 2nd/3rd/last time

  • Have this model and its unreal. Dries quicker than our old $450 vented electrolux did, uses bugger all elec and takes a full load from our 9kg front loader. Wish it was this price when our old dryer blew up 6 months ago! Paid $1150, and would buy again at that price if i had to.

  • Hi everyone. Question on stacking the dryer? Would this be ok to stack on an LG washing machine? Washer is 54cm deep Vs dryer is 62cm deep

  • Has the offer expired? I see $1599 now.
