also worth mentioning that some tablets will probably do everything this can do including smart home stuff. this is more to keep in the same spot on the wall or kitchen and ask it to show Amazon photos, check the weather or play something on Fire TV or stream music.

Edit: worth mentioning there is a review which mentions the included power cable is too short (5ft/1.5m) - forcing you to buy the additional extension for $20.

    is the remote necessary thought if it's meant to be voice controlled?

    I guess the remote makes sense if you use it for majority watching TV/movies. but then the screen is too small and it doesn't make sense being on a wall. use the actual TV instead.

    I think the "content consuming" aspect is really meant to be used as temporary background entertainment. such as playing a cooking video while in the kitchen, or a youtuber you watch where you don't really need to watch it the entire time.

  hi noticed 2 reports about title or description.

  it would be helpful if users who reported commented exactly what info is wrong then I could fix it.

  is it the "wall mount" included? because when scrolling down on the page to "Jump to" and clicking "details". it takes you to the area where it says:

      sheesh I forgot that my bad. I was so focused on cutting down the title to fit because after copy pasting it wouldn't allow the "non included" extra's info and forgot.

          I think my description could have been worked on a bit better but I just personally thought it was important to point to point out what is "not included" because I also assumed the frame would come with the "stand" in the box. but it only comes with a wall mount.

  I’ve got one of these and it’s great for displaying calendars, weather, etc.

  Sadly the mics have terrible pickup from my experience, so it’s basically been relegated to being a display while a google home does voice control duties.

    as I mentioned in the description, some recent comments on posts suggest that Home assistant is no longer available to install on Echo Show 15.

    I think maybe they are pushing back to force users to use Alexa for the best experience.

        it might be worth finding the most recent feedback on the topic.

        I have heard all kinds of quirks about the Echo Show 15 but didn't mention them all because as a smart device it is regularly updated where bugs are fixed and features are added/taken away etc.

        some I remember are things such as no permanent photo frame mode, it just shows that single playlist and goes back to the menu after the last photo. also smart camera integration was apparently terrible for both Eufy and Amazon's own Ring doorbells where trying to open a video stream resulted in a 30 second loading screen and then most times an error with no video shown. these kinds of things can be fixed with updates though so I don't 100% know how it performs right now.

        they can also take away features at any moment which sucks. I have a smart display which supported spotify app music streaming. worked great for a long time and then they announced they would remove the feature about a year ago. it's been working since and I still see the spotify app but just recently I lost voice control. it basically asks me to "sign in to spotify" when it's already signed in and set as the default music stream. to me it sounds like they want to trick me into signing out, then I will probably be unable to sign back in.
