    Made a BWS purchase through their own goddamned app, vanilla iPhone, 4G connection

    "So sorry, it didn't track. Here's an email where we'll blame it on proxy / adblock / VPN, also here's a message in the app saying maybe you returned it, either way, f*&^ you very much"

    Have defended them in the past, no more

      Shopback is long dead for me. Bought headphones through their app i ebay. Didn't use ebay code because cashback was higher. Did everything correctly but didn't track. They took around 2 months to say didn't track possibly due to this or that. Never again.

    You would think Myer would be happy for sales (any sales).

    Maybe having Click n Collect means available in-store stock gets sold and they can close more Myer Stores.

      They are shipping out of stores not a warehouse.

      I think, removing shipping (postage and process), they can do these discounts more sustainably. For us (or me), it sucks as I had few orders either cancelled or partially available which impacts cashback.

        It also means you'll end up seeing other things in store and might end up buying more, meaning more sales for them.

        I also had an order partially cancelled (no stock) but noticed they now say:

        "For partial returns or exchanges, we'll pro-rate the Cashback as an adjustment."

        Maybe @gotyourback can confirm if this applies to partial cancellations initiated by Myer?

        Edit: just want to clarify the above quote is from the Myer T&C page in the Shopback app

          @madpig83: Sorry mate I missed this comment, this is odd because until recently I was under the impression that it any refund could cause Cashback to be invalidated and it looks as though this term is newly added. I'm double checking with the team to be sure about this one but as I believe it's newly added I think the term is more likely to be accurate, which is a nice change! This would apply to cancelled items from Myer's end and is likely why the change was made, as often that's the biggest reason for Cashback being invalidated. Will update once I know more.

              @madpig83: Hey mate, cheers for waiting! Unfortunately I was too quick on the jump above and have some bad news - this particular point was actually entered in error - the original "DONT" stating that partial returns could invalidate Cashback is more accurate.

              The full explainer is that if an item is tracked separately (i.e, has it's own tracking line in your account due to being a different rate or order number), refunds will only invalidate the individual tracking line, any other tracking line will be unaffected. If the item is tracked in the same line as another item in your order, it's possible that a refund of that item will invalidate Cashback on the other item as well.

              Apologies for any confusion of disappointment here, this is a tracking limitation that comes from the merchant's side and as always we are looking towards improving this process so that this won't affect Cashback in future.

  I'd be vary wary about purchasing anything of value. Bought some stuff through the last sale, but cashback didn't track. Everything was above board through the app to make sure everything was tracked correctly, but no dice. Just received a generic invalid cashback comment after disputing it. Only thankful I didn't buy a watch for the cashback saving — I was just about to!
