Killer deal spotted by user scoyzt. The downside of this laptop is high delay ms screen and brightness is not good enough (Jarrod said Aus market get worse panel than the US market). This laptop has Advanced Optimus + Mux. I would said this is the best 4060 laptop deal i have ever seen.

Note: Stock at supplier with no estimate time of dispatch from Scorptec. From Scorptec: Items marked as At Supplier mean we do not currently have stock immediately available, but we should be able to get stock within 2-5 business days of ordering. Then the regular delivery time will apply.

          Don’t trust scorptec they were going to hold my money for 3-5 days I actioned a refund through PayPal then when they replied I threaten to report them to ACCC for holding my money for no reason despite cancelling my order. My refund was received 30 minutes later

      The Nitro doesnt has delay ms screen but the color gamut is much worse. Also the CPU is worse too.

        It is roughly the same as 4070 but generate more heat and doesnt have Frame Gen technology. At that price, it's a decent deal but not a bargain imo.

          Comparing the Legion 5i Pro (16", Gen 7) to the Legion Slim 5 (16", Gen 8) AMD they are currently both $1999.

          Their specs aren't too dissimilar, from what I can see the 5i pro has over the Slim 5, higher 500 nit screen, 32gb ram, 2 year premium warranty.

          $1999 is still a deal, but agree a higher cashback to get it down to them down to the $1850ish mark would be a bargain.

    I rang pushing for the refund and got it within the hour. Got an email from Scorptec and shortly after from Paypal noting you've received a refund from Scorptec and for the correct amount.

    Deal it self has expired but something similar. Was also looking at MSI Creator Z16 HX Studio i7/i9

    Mainly for work and potentially the odd game or 2 (i have a desktop for that anyway)

    Currently using Precision 5530, looked at the latest 5680, $5.5-6k, bit too much i think

    Use for software development, containers/vm, compiling, etc

    Should I wait for Intel Core Ultra to come out next year? Based on reviews, not much of a performance improvement, more so for GPU and AI stuff

        They did for me, which covered the full purchase amount inclusive of the 1% surcharge of $11.99. Paypal email stated Scorpion Technology Computers Pty Ltd issued a $1,210.99 AUD refund. The money has been refunded to your MASTER_CARD x-****. It may take a few days to appear on your statement.

    This is the problem with posting deals to here. Either keep it quiet so you get your order or post it to Ozbargain to help everyone out but run the risk of them catching on and cancelling it.

      The assumption underlying your comment is that and if only a few people took advantage of this deal that Scorptec would honour the deal - I don't necessarily see support for this assumption. I thank the OP for posting this deal despite what has ultimately transpired.

    OK, got both email from sh|ty Scorptec & 1 min later paypal:
    You've received a refund from Scorpion Technology Computers Pty Ltd

    Now this is interesting since I pay in 4, and i am gettng full 1210.99 back, I guess that will go back to paypal itself, then paypal will process and refund me back my 1st payment 302.75 which they took me yesterday ??? All becoz of stupid Scorptec is making this so messy …

        No, my interesting is how paypal sort out my $302.75 which they already taken off and on my activity can see $1210.99 fully refunded. Rang them and they said will take a few days to revert the 1st payment back and they also said the remaining 3 payments have been cancelled too. Com'on, paypal will not screw up and refund me extra $908.24 !!!

    Had my order cancelled as well. Refund "promised", Scorptec still took the entire amount out of my account today, rather than just cancel the transaction on their end. Now don't have the funds to look at other laptops.

      I went through paypal to cancel mine replied to my Paypal request saying they needed 3-5 days to process "payment" told them Id contact ACCC if they didn't give me back my money I saw someone else get there money as 3-5 days processing for a cancelled order is garbage 30 minutes later got my refund

    Would the refund be automatically transferred to my card if I paid through paypal? I can see the amount in my paypal balance and I can transfer them manually but there is a fee. Please let me know.

      Yes i got into the same situation, normally if I paid in FULL, money goes straight back to my CC account, all becoz of this time it was pay in 4, now I got the 1st payment refunded but just sitting in my balance instead, only can transfer back to a bank account and pay 1% fee, why won't it auto credit back to my CC account instead? Totally mess us up!
