One cm thickness is not very good

Ok i need to know, why would i need this? I'm 36, will i eventually get to an age I can't stand on solid floor anymore? Not taking the piss. I genuinely need to know how my body will deteriorate.

There are some people that get fatigue when standing still for too long. Not just leg pains or cramps but actual tiredness. These mats allegedly can help with that whether in kitchen or work office.

If you don't need it then you don't need it.

      • Thanks for the education. Hopefully I don't grow to need this! Sounds uncomfortable.

oh you will grow to need this. Not this one a better one :)

I have flat feet and my lower back starts to hurt if I stand barefeet on hard floors for a long time. Having said that, I just wear indoor slides to manage.

    • I have used a standing desk from early 30s into early 40s. The main thing for me is spreading load on my feet.

I work from home, so avoid wearing shoes when possible. And have feet quite used to walking barefoot on hard surfaces.

My office has a hard floor, and standing on it barefoot for extended periods of time gives me sore feet. A previous carpeted floor was a little better, but still created pressure points I don't experience when walking.

Something padded to stand on is nice because it spreads the load across the underside of my feet. I get the same effect if I'm wearing my comfy, padded sole work boots when standing. Conversely, thin, non padded shoes don't spread the load and are more likely to give me sore spots. I find the extra padding from a mat annoying if I'm wearing the boots, but helpful if I have thin shoes on.

The "science" behind anti fatigue mats seems to be that it helps keeps you moving slightly as you adjust. But I personally find I'm adjusting a lot unconsciously anyway so not sure how much that impacts things.

    • Even if you don't need it it's a "nice to have", makes standing around cooking dinner or washing dishes or whatever more pleasant. These one's don't seem thick enough to make much difference though.

Think people who stand in one spot all day. Like a chemist : customer service, or someone at a standing desk job. Repeated posture can wreck your joints

Not really convinced that the RRP hasn't been inflated for this sale price.

If you look around Amazon, almost all anti-fatigue kitchen mats are around ~$50. Granted this is probably the best price by a few dollars.. but not really a bargain per-se.

$39 standard price historically. Don't get sucked into fake discounts and coupon codes on jacked prices that have become the norm on Amazon unfortunately.

not good if you have no legs.

    • Are you legless ?

      • Soleless

      Or if you're Mr. McGreg.

    • Is it good for parking wheelchairs?

I paid $37 in July for the grey version and they are shithouse.

    These tear easy.

  • on the 9th of December.. they were $39.09!

  • About the pull the trigger until I read the comments lol

Everyone saying this isn't a bargain are overlooking the size. Nearly 500m (1 x 4475cm, 1 x 44148cm) of anti fatigue matting for a mere $42! Probably a bit more than I need for my average sized kitchen though…

    • Hahaha you can probably cut and stack them to compensate how thin these are
