      • +2

Thank you for letting us know so I don't feel left out

  • cheap. kmart's was $25.

  • Couldn't remove the ice tray and mat, so $73 all up for me. Will probably get cancelled anyway.

    • I can

      • +1

I can in the cart but it gets added back in automatically since there's a ?discount=NOVEMBER parameter in the URL. If you copy the URL without the parameter, then go back to cart and delete the items, then instead of going to checkout with the button you go back to the edited URL, it will work.

          You can remove them again.

    • +1

You're happy to grab this for $73?

  • +4

Technically its just a blow up piece of plastic

    • +7

So is a blow up doll , yet people choose to buy them.

  • +15

I'm here for the outrage of cancellation

    • +1

Me too but I still ordered for a giggle

    • Got cancelled, got a refund, I'm outraged. Today was a great day

  • +1

Thanks got one for $8. Removed everything else

  • +3

Got one, waiting for the cancellation

EDIT: got a confirmation email straight away saying it's being ready to be shipped. Not sure if that means anything…

PODFREE discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart

    • Did you leave the insurance?

      • Yes, $147 but code not valid.

      • +1

Had the same issue but then applied insurance for shipping and the code worked 👍🏻

        • Thanks that worked. I misread leave the insurance as take it out.

Guys you don't even need this just get your rubbish bins and fill with water, you get use to the smell after the first few times.

    • +10

It's the bin complaining about the smell

    • +5

      just get your rubbish bin

Make sure don't do it at your front yard during bin pick up date.

      • Who doesn't want a free tour of the waste disposal site?

    • +2

In all seriousness, an athletics coach told me he just asks the council for a new bin because he lost his current bin, then uses the new one for the ice bath.

      • Are you referring to the ones you place on the curb for the garage truck to collect?

As don’t they cost you to replace?

      • I use one of those bins for my ice baths. Just bought a 3/4 inch ball tap and drilled that into the front. 2 24pack of bottles and your good to go.

    80 cm height

Does this legally need a pool fence ?

    • +24

You need a fence around you

      • +1

Because you are are hot property (that’s why you need a fence)

      • +5

Best @ JV comment of 2023.

    • +1

If you only fill it to 20cm height it’s legal in QLD. I wonder if using it inside house changes the rule that you need a fence?

      • If you only fill it to 20cm height it’s legal in QLD.

        Not in VIC.

"All swimming pools and spas on residential properties in Victoria capable of holding water to a depth of 30cm (300mm) or more are required to be surrounded by a swimming pool barrier."

Thank you @JV glad I don’t live in Mexico

          • +1

            @J B S:

            I don’t live in Mexico

            Same rules apply for QLD

            https://www.qld.gov.au/housing/buying-owning-home/pool-safet…

The pool safety laws apply if your portable pool or spa meets any of these criteria:
can be filled with water to a depth of more than 300mm
has a volume of more than 2,000L
            has a filtration system.

            • +3

@jv: Doesn't mention anything about whether or not it's inflated. Therefore even deflated it needs a fence

              • +1

                @jasong: Oh JV.
Your pointless comments here made it so hard to scroll the deal expired before I got to the end of the comments threads here.

            • @jv:

apply if your portable pool or spa

What's the definition of a pool or spa? This is a portable ice bath though!
My non-portable bath can be filled > 300mm, it doesn't need a fence.
My laundry bucket can be filled to a depth of >300mm, but it doesn't need a fence.

              Where is the line!?

              • -1

                @NigelTufnel:

What's the definition of a pool or spa?
                ‏‏‎ ‎

                Pool

noun: a small area of still water
                ‏‏‎

                Spa

noun: a bath containing hot aerated water.

                  Pool
noun: a small area of still water

Uh oh. Better go out and install fences around all of my buckets!

        • You could cut the walls down to 30cm couldn’t you for the kids?

          • @J B S: You would need an engineer's certificate to make changes to the structure of the spa.

    • +4

      Why you bold words?

      • +1

        Why you write bad grammar?

        • +2

To piss you off. 𝐃𝐢𝐝 it work?

  • +3

More chance to get it if not posted here.

    • +5

Now OP has zero chance of getting it, how generous of him.

  • Removed the mat and kept the tray. Seems to only work on the cheapest model.

    Worth a shot!

  • +4

    Chances of cancelation 99.9% .

    • +3

      So you’re telling me there’s a chance!

      • Chances of 0.01%. Considering this will ship from UK, shipping cost would be more than $8. So I don't see anyone getting it, unless there is another human error involved and one order gets slipped.

    • +5

Make sure don't do it at your front yard during bin pick up date.

    • How do you get OUT?

      • Just tip it over an crawl out. Bonus of this approach is you don't need to install the pretty pointless tap anyway. lol

    • Is this a serious article.

      That’s truly bizarre tbh.

Mind you. I like the idea of a sealable hole in the base of the bin.
For those few times the garbo collection results in the bin lid left open and a big downpour before I get to it.
Or washing it out and not having to tip it over to empty out I guess.

  • +4

What a way to fish out your email for incoming spams!

  • Ordered 1. Getting in line for cancellation :)

  • +3

just gonna freeze water bottles instead of the ice cube

    • that's a good idea! was thinking who has this much ice daily!

  • Ordered and waiting for cancellation.

  • +10

    Bought 10 cancellation emails.
    Thanks OP

Will be disappointed is they ship them and deprive me of those emails.

  • Nice $30 odd bucks with ice tray only

    • +3

They might cancel the tub, send the trays and charge you for that

  • Chances of this being honoured? Haha postage will be like $80

  • +3

That is one big ass Esky.

    • +1

Yeah.. Esky for big ass, and rest of the body too

  • Purchased, what is it for 😜? Can use it as a spa?

    • +3

If wife comes home early while me and mistress in the spa, i can just pop the lid on and im saved

  • Got one ty

  • Didnt know i needed this untill now

  • +1

    Not ideal for the Melbournians!

  • +3

    Joining the queue for cancellation

  • +4

Thanks OP. Used Afterpay, first $2 payment on the 2nd of January.

    • Sameee. Clearpay threw me off for a second because of the logo but it redirected. I'm guessing that's what they call it in England.

  • Still working. Just ordered for $8

  • +1

hopefully this will get me through summer

  • Code is not working anymore

    • It is, add just the regular pod system, not the one with the bells and whistles

  • Thank you! Waiting my cancelation!

  • +6

Probably a honey pot to get our personal information.
    Bought anyway
