  • too bad you are restricted to under 15 inch - there's a 16 inch LG Gram for only $1850 delivered.

    • Weak Intel xe though (just updated requirements)

  • Acer Swift Go?

Wait for a price like this again:

    • That was a good deal, prefer over 16gb RAM for igpu gaming (zbook firefly has 2x SODIMM) and no OLED tho

OP, are you also only going for Zen4 architecture? As the laptops you've listed are 7840/7940. Selection of thin and lights with these CPUs still seem quite sparse.

    • Pretty much headed that way unless there is a laptop with a dgpu that can game without having to use a proprietary power brick

      • Yeah fair enough. I can't think of anything that fits your criteria.
It's interesting that the models you found are using the HS configuration. I thought that was gaming laptop territory. Although I will note yours are on the slightly heavier end of the category, at 1.5kg.

Framework 13 can be configured with the 7840U but it's way too expensive.
        https://frame.work/au/en/products/laptop-13-gen-amd/configur… for your reference anyway.

I'm personally trying to hold out until Asus release a Zenbook 14 with 7840U but it's taking a long time…

    1TB
    RTX 4060
    14" OLED 120hz

    • I was seriously considering it but then I sww the proprietary charging port and huge power brick. My only reservation is whether or not it can be powered adequately by USB C when gaming, must look into this

    • More specifically,
Do you know if the Lenovo Legion slim 5 14 inch able to receive full PD 3.1 140w with aftermarket charger?

Asking because I read that some manufacturers throttle max power input unless the cable contains a proprietary chip

      Thank you!

In my experience thin laptops don’t manage heat well and you’ll experience throttling, especially HP laptops.
