  Great bit of kit imho. I upgraded to this from a 2x18v Ozito and its much better. Lighter and cuts through much thicker branches.

  Good price and most people will probably be satisfied, but Ego stuff feels pretty cheap to me. I have a Stihl HSA 94T and love it, it's a beast.

    Mines cutting through 1.5cm to 2cm branches pretty well. It's not up there with some of commercial petrol ones, but it beats the Milwaukee, Makita or Ryobi battery ones. Far more power and cutting ability.

  Seems like a cheap ? deal for a prosumer grade product .
  Another $100 bucks off and it might be tempting to try out .

  Stihl and Husky prices will come down eventually ,
  Once shops start to actually stock and sell their product ,
  There’ll happily sell two strokes to commercial customers as long as they can ,
  and rightfully so with large chainsaws at least .

  Personally I use a corded black and decker on a smallish hedge , that I got scooped up from a BigW/Masters clearance sale for $12.50 .
  Might need a sharpen oneday but it will last me out .

  Ego doesn't have the best reviews. I'd read up on them and decide for yourselves. My 18v ozito trimmer is weak as but it does the job and was super cheap.

    As i said above. The Ego craps all over the Ozito in terms of what it can can cut through. For only about $100 more for the kit, its a great deal..

      Fredorishi, would you know the approx weight of the Ego? I'm looking for something a bit more powerful than the Ozito but am worried about the weight because my wife will use it too.

        Sorry for the slow reply. Only have bathroom scales so not sure how accurate but appears to be about 4.1 or 2 kg with the 2.5ah battery attached. It feels quite light to me and I'm not super strong. The 2x18v Ozito seemed heaps heavier.

          @Fredorishi: Acrually, looking at the manuals its 2.8 for the trimmer and 1.3 for the battery so my scales are pretty good!
