Just received a kilo of Sunset Blvd in the mail - and I've got a bulk order from LB coming in mid-Jan. So, no order from me.
That said, their Roosevelt Blend features heavily in our annual consumption. Ants pants! Recommended!
I tried blooms and it was absolutely gross, now i'm scared to try anything other than their sunset blvd one lol
I actually liked the bloom, very different from their other stuff. Sweet but not acidic.
Yes! I tried Bloom as well. Not good (for my tastes anyway). Very hard to 'dial in'. Probably better for filter-style coffee (ie. NOT for me).
For us, Roosevelt>Sunset. Downtown also successful. Roosevelt & Downtown are more at the chocolaty/earthy end of the spectrum with Downtown a little more caramel in character. I find Sunset gentler but still nice. Roosevelt is used by a few places that we frequent.
FWIW, we drink fairly strong flat whites with not too much milk. Not really 'black' drinkers - but all these (bar 'Bloom') seem to produce a decent short macchiato.
reviews seem to point to Bloom being not so great for milk based coffees. I thought it was okay black, brewed as either french press or pour over.
In my experience, the special single origins are usually very good. I drink both milk and black coffee, all manually brewed.
Can you please report on Sunset Blvd vs LB (ideally Sao Polo SO).
Like to know your thoughts.

Sunset is a bit more subtle to my tastes.
Normal Inglewood order is Roosevelt or Downtown (some people don't like Downtown - but we haven't been disappointed).
Went back to Sunset for a change. Expect to enjoy it - but yes, in general prefer the others mentioned incl. the LB Sao Paulo.
Ok cheers. I got a freebie bag of Downtown (was ok ish). The LB texture is good, not loving the taste. Maybe I'll try Sunset. I like the choc / Italian roast…ie a bit dark chocolate, a bit ash tray! Can't stand fruit or floral.
Their Downtown is similar to LB Sao Paulo.
I like the Sunset a little more than both.
