I have a T20 (Indiegogo) but the smart brush motor stopped working and a replacement was going to cost around 110-120 from AliExpress.
Dreame AU Support is pretty responsive but their US Support hasn't been so far, where I've enquired about a replacement smart brush.

I have been pretty happy with T20 thus far, and willing to give Dreame another go at this price

I'm in very same situation and unable to get a replacement brush head for T20. Not happy with Dreame as they told me it's discontinued with no spare parts and to basically buy a new vacuum. Will be moving to Dyson next.

      • So i also had the T20 and the brush stopped working.

        2 faults
        1) the wire from the shaft to the motor breaks, i pulled consumer affairs on my seller and only paid postage to them and they fixed it.
        2) the motor cog glue breaks, i used some aryldyte to re attach it

Still going now, both fairly easy to fix

        • I had the exact same faults. Thanks for the hint with the second fix. Will give that a go

        • Thanks yeah had a poke around the wires and couldn't see the fault. I'll give #1 a go with the seller

        • I had the same faults. My lid to emptying the bin broke too. Most of this happened within the first 12 months of owning my T20 so i got my replacement parts in 2-3 months.

Service post warranty period is crap and Dreame is not willing to help. I've moved back to Dyson.

Dyson is overpriced and over engineered plastic crap. Get Miele instead.

Ii have the v9 for about a year and it’s still going but the suction on these things is SUPER weak. Not sure how the Dysons are but these one do most of their cleaning by having the rotating brush pick up the dirt.

You can increase the suction to 2 higher levels but then the battery runs out very quickly.

Still for the price it’s great.

  • Is the battery removable on the v10?

for something that you use on daily basic, avoid buying vacuum that virtually has zero customer service.

My experience with Dreame / and any other cheap brand is that you can't get the support when you needed. You might be able to get the first initial customer support, but when you need the spare part, good luck with that.

Please consider getting a wellknown brand vacuum.

      My experience with Dreame

Is that you don't need support because my vacuum has been working smoothly for 3 years

    • +3

Or you can just buy another 1 or 2 of these and you wil still be ahead?

    • +6

I could buy 4 of these for the price of a Dyson

The problem with that, if people stop buying crapware, these shitty companies will close down, thus not challenging the big players like dyson to keep their prices competitive.

The more people that buy this crap, better chance for us to buy quality items at a lower price. so let them waste their money, its good for the economy.

Threw this in the bin last week. It performed well for about 6 months and then after about 18months, the battery is completely dead, won't last more than 10 seconds on any speed and replacement batteries are ridiculous. Suction was never great and also a little flimsy around the joints.

    • Same problem with Dyson, battery dies after a few months. Pretty sure the 'Boost' feature is the culprit.

  • +5

Our dreame v9 hasn't had a problem for about 3 years, maybe 4.
The rubber from the wheels on the head have worn off but it works without it

    • I took the 2 small wheels off, they clog up too often.

Never tried these but can vouch for Dysons older models, have had a v6 since they came out 8 years ago, after about 4 years of full time house duties it retired to the caravan where it’s still going strong with only replacement being the battery (replaced once free by Dyson a few months after warranty period and second time myself with non genuine one for about $30). 4 years ago I upgraded to a Dyson v10 refurbished model. After about 3 years battery started playing up (wouldn’t work on full power) but Dyson refuses to replace this time due to it being refurbished and well over 12 month warranty, have replaced with non genuine and it’s been fine since. Sad they don’t make v6 anymore as the small size and slim brush head is perfect for the caravan. V10 is still the best model in the line up for a house IMO, it’s best mix of size, weight, power and price. Some of the newer models are just too heavy, I’d rather have to charge more often than lug around a much heavier unit and battery

Excellent deal. I got one via an old eBay deal about 2 years ago, paid about $230.

It is still working really well for me today.

  • I also got the T20 from Indigogo. It's a great vacuum cleaner that is still going strong. Just wondering, are the attachments on this V10 interchangeable with the T20?

  • This vs Viomi A9?

  • This is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. I bought one at a similar price and it lasted 6 months before the motor burnt itself out. You might be lucky and it might last but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    • You could be unlucky. If the motor failed in 6 month, you shall ask for a replacement.

Mixed reviews on this brand.. I've had my V9 for 3 or 4 years now? It gets used almost daily in my space with a cockatiel inside and dog that comes/goes from outside regularly - you could say it gets a flogging tbh. I never expected it to last much longer than a year and used it accordingly to my expectations.

It has never missed a beat and the battery life is actually still really impressive. Awesome stick vaccuum that is super low maintenance in my experience. Just pull dust filter from top and blast with electric air duster etc every once in a while.

I imagine the next model along being this one would be even better again. For the price it's a no brainer. I'm even thinking about it even though my V9 lives on.

  • Is there a better one with the carpet attachment as well? It seems like this one is only good for hard floors.

  • I picked up the dreame t30 for $449 from amazon, hoping it's arrives soon

Recommend returning your new V8 within the 30 day money back period, and spending the extra on a V10/Gen5 if you can, decent deals on the gen5detect complete under $1k.

The V8 is super out-dated and I don’t think it would be much of an upgrade from the dreame.

    Gen5 is honestly next level.

We upgraded from a 2 year old dreamer v9 (W carpet head) after a 80 AUD battery replacement (1 year after), to a Dyson V8 and it's a no way back. Cleaning carpet is so much better and no clogging on the Dyson.

Buy cheap buy twice. Spend the extra $100 for a Dyson V7 or V8

  • Which one to buy now Dyson V8 or Dreame V10, any suggestions?

  • Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

    Aw :(

  • I've had a Xiaomi version for 3 years now, still going reasonably strong despite less battery time. Thinking of an update, was wondering about Bosch cordless vacuums

  • +2

Battery seems fine for me, have had for 2 years. Supposed to let it cool for at least 30 minutes before charging, wonder if people who complain about long-term battery life do this.

    • wow, never knew this.

  • For those considering dreame handstick vaccum, don't.. Probably one of the worst appliances I owned. Had a T20 about 1 year+ ago, with hardly any usage. The body broke down within the year (luckily got it replaced), then roller brush broken down soon after.. Bloody crap quality, though the suction is not bad.

  • Parents bought this one from Kogan about a year and a half ago. Have had the battery replaced once under warranty and shortly after its died again. Could be bad luck…or just bad build quality…

I've got the Dreame T30 and its been faultless - no complaints.

  • Anyone experience about Laresar and Honiture? Spec seems to be better
