Excellent price when compared to the weak Bissell Stain Eraser Pet at SCA for $133. Not sure how it compares with the Bissell Spot Clean AutoMate for $185 at SCA besides the slightly longer hose but it looks like an identical model.

    I managed to grab one yesterday but the model isn’t the red version, it’s a black version 47205 with Emergency Spot Cleaner print on the front - all other specs exactly the same though.
    I’ve struggled to find anything similar when searching online so wondering how old the stock is.

    • Yeah I think that's the reason for the discount, same here.

    • Mine also says Emergency Spot Cleaner.

    • picked up mine yesterday. also got the emergency spot one instead of the red one. somewhere on the label it says '2015', could be the production year?

    The bottom has "Copyright 2023" so it is current stock.

    Other than that, i can't see any difference

  • Anyone had it ship from backorder? got a feeling we'll never see it. Those that got it, thoughts on whether its worth it or should we start cancelling the backorders?

    • Nope, I was told by floor staff it'd take "about a week" for backorder stock to arrive, so I paid in full on Boxing Day. Not a peep from HN since then.

    • Just received email to say that I've gotten a refund instead. Seems automatic, I didn't request for it.

    • Got refund and no other info. Chat with a live representative and no info from them either just sorry we are out of stock.

    No refund and no item and no communication here.

      • Finally response from customer care saying store tried to reach me out on this. (I asked them to try for a better excuse. ) was told there is no stock in the state. However I saw they are now taking delivery orders but for previous price for the same item. Asked mine to be changed to delivery which then got me to speak to the store. The store manager showed me that quite a lot of people have ordered the same day and the expected stock date is early march.

    • Yep same. Send in 2 tickets, a week later no response. No phone number to call (number just puts you through to your nearest HN store who couldn't care) . Serves me right for even thinking about ever buying from Harvey Norman. I've avoided them for years, now I remember why.

      • Quite surprised how poor they can be with customer service and is still in business. Its been years since I last bought from them due to their poor service. Can see it hasnt improved over the years.

  • It's over a month. Still no item, no refund and no communication :(

    • I followed up with Harvey Norman via Livechat at the same ~1month period. Had paid for the product w/ delivery. The online agent said that the store who held my online order for dispatching didn't have any stock, and was able to help reassign it to another store. Got the product promptly afterwards.

      Unless there are some ongoing stock shortages on the model, would recommend being proactive in following up, potentially with different support staff to get the right outcome.

  • I sent an enquiry to the customer service team last week. Finally picked mine up on Wednesday, 2023 model, bottom box sticker said Mildura. They must've been scouring the network of stores to get these in. YMMV if you're still waiting for one.
