Wera overrated anyway at Ozb. Best screwdriver I owned was a Wiha but it got stolen. I prefer my Stanleys to my Weras.

Wera + Amazon warrenty for this price is p. good.

      • What about the Stanleys do you prefer?

        • Harder metal than in the weras from what I can tell. My weras both chipped and bent at the bit end. Really disappointing. And Stanley has proper variation in size instead of small, less small, slightly less small, kind of thing. And not a huge fan of wera grip though the stanleys have that basic bitch hard translucent plastic grip which isnt that crash hot either.

  • Thanks g, ordered.

Metric 9 Piece L shaped Hex keys (allen keys)

Ordered these too. All time low

  • Looks like a similar deal at Total Tools but with a variety of the type of driver.

    • Thanks. Those star drivers with the "grip" for the heads don't review too well though. They seem to fail pretty quickly

    • These aren’t strike through models, not designed to be hammered from the back.

      Deal breaker for some.

Have this set. What this set is designed for is for 'heavy' duty use (they are so nice though so I don't utterly trash them). It has a solid metal through tang, so it can be hit without cracking the handle. It also has a hex pattern on the shaft to allow for a spanner or shifter to be put onto it to break free locked screws. I like the higher level of flat heads as you can use them like chisels (gently).

  • Excellent set. I have a couple of the flat heads which I beat the crap out of and they hold up extremely well. Only thing to be mindful of is the comfort grip handles will get beat up compared to solid plastic handles if you jam/wedge them in places.

  • Thanks OP

  • I still have wera screw drivers from apprenticeship 40 odd years ago - just love em
flat head has shaft through its been used a chisel and leaver so many times

  • I have screwdrivers from my parents proll 40yrs ago.
What makes a set good or not? They never break, we aren't builders . Only do ikea stuff.
